That's how it's spelled, thank you!

Oh trust me, I could tell you some stories of that female chaplain. She was another reason why I walked away. She persecuted me during the time we were stationed together because I was a "renegade Methodist."

You see, she was United Methodist, and I was Free Methodist (at the time). We had met about 4 years earlier during my tenure at Brooks AFB, TX when she was invited to a dinner the chapel staff was holding. When we went around the table and introduced ourselves I mentioned what church I attended, she blurted out "Oh, you're one of those renegade methodists" right there in front of everyone. Then when she was reassigned to where I was, she remembered me. She made my life a living hell for almost three years.

That's just the start! I won't go any further except to say she was finally reassigned in early 1992 (the Wing Commander wanted her GONE), but not before the damage was done. I separated later that year, she drove the catholic priest to drinking, literally, and she made relations between myself and HQ SAC terrible because I didn't support their "token" female chaplain. And don't get me wrong, I met some very good female chaplains, even at that duty station, but she was the worst.

[[She made my life a living hell for almost three years.]]

How Christian of her. /s Sorry that you had to endure her hatred and evil- it’s especially tough when someone claims to be a Christian and then acts like they do=- they certainly don’t produce fruit of the Spirit that’s for sure-

I got into the chapel manager career field for two reasons. One, because I am a Christian, and two, because I'm colorblind (something my recruiter failed to tell me because I went to basic training) and I couldn't go into anything mechanical, electrical or electronic like I really wanted to do.

That said, boy, was I naive. I never expected to find the level of evil I saw, and the lady chaplain I alluded to in other postings was the embodiment of that evil. But yeah, the military chaplaincy has sold itself out to the devil, with a few exceptions of course.

You might not say that if you knew of my otherwise perfect ratings and progression to that point.

My local doctor says I suffer from PTSD. I said, “yeah, no kidding. If you knew what I had to put up with for many years....”

I can still send a Easter card. He is a Catholic priest, our former pastor.
