Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation.”
Nobody is claiming that he isn't coming at all (which is what Paul is addressing here). All Christians believe in the Second Coming of Jesus at the end of time, but not all (or even most) ascribe to the "secret-rapture-at-any-moment" brand of Dispensationalism.
I am one of those Christians that believes Jesus Christ could literally take us to Heaven at any moment, whether through the rapture or our physical deaths. No one is guaranteed another day or moment. We would all be wise to keep that in mind.
