Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Abba Father,
The Earth is Yours, and The Fullness Thereof.
It is You, and Only You,
Who Designed it All,
From the Tiniest Quark to the Most Massive Singularity in Space.
This is Your Creation,
Your Artwork,
Your Splendor,
Out of Your Infinite Imagination,
That You have Created For Your Glory and Pleasure.
You Are So Awesome!
What can we do Except Exclaim,
"HOW WONDERFUL YOU ARE!"

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

God Bless America.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

The Names and Titles of God (My Fathers’ God)

Exodus 15:1-3

15 Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

2 The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.

3 The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is his name.

The King James Version

There have been several remakes of "The Ten Commandments". Even Cecil B. DeMille made two versions of this Story, a Silent Version in 1923, and the Awesome Color Movie Classic in 1956.

In 2006 it was a miniseries (not bad, but not as good as the Movie Epic), and also in 2006, a musical starring Val Kilmer as Moses (You CAN'T MAKE THIS STUFF UP!). In 2014 Ridley Scott tried his hand at it, with Exodus: Gods and Kings. That one was REALLY bad.

In all of these movies, the Parting of the Red Sea was "The Big Scene", or what Hollywood calls "The Money Shot". All of the directors handled the scene in a similar manner, but only Ridley Scott showed the People of Israel getting their feet wet. The Bible says that the Israelites walked on DRY LAND, but I guess Scott wanted to send back the script for a re-write.

Science programs try to explain away the Parting of the Red Sea as a Tsunami Effect from the monstrous Volcanic Eruption that destroyed the Greek Island of Santorini. This theory explains bot the drawing back of the water, and the subsequent wave that crushed and drowned the Egyptian Army. That does NOT explain the Dry Land. Nor does it explain why Santorini decided to blow its top right at the same time the Israelites were trapped with the Sea before them and the Egyptian Army bearing down upon them. The Bible even tells us that God caused a strong wind to blow all night, which piled the waters up on each side. The Key Words here are "God Caused".

While the Bible is descriptive and specific about the Parting of the Red Sea, it is less specific about the extent to which the Israelites kept the faith through 400+ years of slavery in an intensely pagan community. Remember, there was no Torah at the time, no Bibles, no Prophets, no Psalmists, and no extraordinary teachers. They were surrounded by idols, as even the common household items were decorated with the Egyptian gods.

There had to be at least a spark of faith among them, as the People kept their Ancestors' Promise to the Patriarch Joseph, and eventually brought his mummified body back to the Holy Land.

The TV Miniseries took this a little bit too far, by showing the Tomb of Joseph as a sort of Synagogue/Community Center/Town Hall where the elders met regularly to worship, debate, and learn. That may have indeed been the case, but I don't see it mentioned in the Bible. I tend to be a nitpicker when it comes to Biblical Epics, but that's just me.

When Moses encountered God at the Burning Bush, he didn't even know God's Name. At first, God describes Himself as the "God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob". That identifies Himself to Moses, so even though Moses doesn't yet know God's Personal Name, he knows Him by Title.

Four Hundred Years of Slavery, Forty Years in the Desert, and forty years in Pharaoh's Court, had not extinguished the Memory of the God of His Fathers.

When Miriam takes up her tambourine and sings her song, this is one of the Names she uses for God.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. (Mark 4:22)

God Bless America.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen
