Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father in Heaven,
Magnified and Sanctified is Your Most Holy Name!
How We Love You,
With Our Whole Heart,
Our Whole Soul,
Our Whole Mind,
and Our Whole Strength!
For Only You Are Worthy
To Be Praised and Worshiped.
Only You Are Holy,
Almighty, and Eternal!
The Nations are Merely Dust To You,
And We, The Work of Your Hands,
Must Bow Our Heads in Worship and Admiration,
and Awe at Your Great Glory!

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

God Bless America.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

The Names and Titles of God (Warrior)

Exodus 15:1-3

15 Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

2 The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.

3 The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is his name.

The King James Version

Some of my readers might cringe a little at my bringing up examples from Pop Culture, but there was a time when Books, Movies, and TV Programs had lots of Biblical references. There were also lots of references to Classic Authors like Shakespeare, Milton, Dante, and others, which most of us, even with a Public School Education, got right away. I am sad to admit that a student of mine thought that "Romeo and Juliet" were the characters from a Taylor Swift song. The kids in the song marry and live happily ever after. The kids in the play DIE in the end. The poor little girl was SHOCKED to hear that the original story did not have a happy ending.

An alternate Universe that has existed for nearly 60 years is the STAR TREK franchise. Since I grew up in the same neighborhood as Leonard Nimoy, I've been a fan since Episode One of the Original Series. For the Record, I am NOT thrilled with the direction the franchise has taken, but it is what it is.

The ONLY episode in 60 years that ever brought tears to my eyes was the seventh episode of Season Seven of Deep Space Nine. The Title of the Episode is taken from Shakespeare, and is called Once More Into The Breach. The episode dealt with Senile Dementia in a Warrior Culture, and Dying with Honor. Heavy Subjects to be sure! Since I have worked with Dementia Patients for many years, and recently went through a long period with a family member suffering from that horrible condition, I was very touched by that episode.

One of the most striking things about the Episode was the transformation of the Klingons. Aside from the physical differences (which seems to be an issue Kilingons won't discuss), the species of aliens had evolved from a greasy gang of pirates to a Culture of Warriors with its own Language, Mythology, Heroes, and Legends. In some of the Movie Episodes, the Klingons quoted Shakespeare and claimed him as one of their own. The most pervading feature of Klingon Culture was their Sense of Honor, which made them less like Gangsters and more like Samurai.

In the last of the Names and Titles of God that appear in this little verse of Scripture, God is called "Warrior". This is not the kind of warrior that raids villages, pillages, or kills innocent people. The Warrior here is full of Honor, Frees the Oppressed, and Protects the Innocent.

The Egyptians that were drowned in the Red Sea were prepared to kill or enslave their victims, but God, The Warrior of Honor, stood in their way.

Thanks For Listening!

The which, if you with patient ears attend,
What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend. (Romeo & Juliet Prologue, William Shakespeare)

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. (Mark 4:22)

God Bless America.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen
