(UK) High court upholds top London school’s ban on prayer rituals

A high court decision to uphold a prayer ban at one of the highest performing state schools in England has been welcomed by Rishi Sunak and Kemi Badenoch, who described it as a “victory against activists trying to subvert our public institutions”.

The case against Michaela community school in Brent, north-west London, which is famous for its strict discipline code, was brought by a Muslim pupil, known only as TTT in court proceedings, who claimed the ban was discriminatory and breached her right to religious freedom.

In a written judgment handed down on Tuesday, Mr Justice Linden dismissed the pupil’s arguments against the prayer ban on all key grounds.

...

The judgment followed a two-day hearing in January at the high court in London, which heard the prayer ban was introduced in March last year by the school’s founder and former government social mobility tsar, Katharine Birbalsingh, after the school found itself the target of death and bomb threats over its approach to religious observance.

Birbalsingh, who is often called “Britain’s strictest headteacher”, defended the policy, arguing it was vital in order to “maintain a successful learning environment where children of all races and religion can thrive”.

Whatever the F that title means, she, can I call her a she, capitulates to bomb threats. I wonder who the bomb threats are coming from, doubtless someone whose feelings are hurt by having to tolerate the observations of the country who you supposedly decided to become a part of.

I’m thinking they don’t want a call to prayer seven times a day by students who face Mecca disrupting every single class.

Good ruling that is a speedbump on the road that the UK is following that will eventually lead to islam being the primary religion.

The school is attempting to for secularism which in turn has pissed off muslims who want to pray to allah at lunchtime at said school.

It's only for this one school.

It’s “religious” in different way!… In the last few decades the governments, our politicians, the public school supervision has tried to remove God and spirituality from many nation’s schools. Why? Because they didn’t want the influence of church and God to be involved in our children’s lives.

The UK like America was founded in the beginning on a Judeo-Christian culture. But the elites and leftists want that to be forgotten. “The kids don’t need that”

BUT NOW….. we’re allowing thousands of people who are into a certain “religion” to push their beliefs on our kids. And they’re pushing the lies of their foundation and the lies of their history upon our children.

Basics - “Muslims” A mass of people who carry a "holy" book that says to murder all Jews and Christians who won't bow to their prophet.

A muslim female student enrolled into the school knowing it’s the strictest in the country.

There are NO prayers allowed because it would disrupt.

The school excels in it’s teaching and intelligent discussions.

The girl ONCE ENROLLED decided to challenge the school.

The school stood it ground and surprisingly - shockingly - won the case in their highest court.

Sucks to be that little trouble maker and her mom.

THERE WILL ALWAYS BE PRAYER IN THAT SCHOOL.

Ask ANY student before they take a test.
