Pastor Luc Needs Our Help In Haiti!!!!!!!!

WE NEED YOUR PRAYERS!

Dear Friends,

I received a call from Pastor Luc yesterday, Oct 4th. He said that he was in hiding with his family and other family members for fear of their lives.

As many of you know the police had been looking for Luc at the time I was in the Haitian prison of Port Au Prince. He was able to get to the Dominican Republic and had been there for about one month. We were trying to get passports for his family but the government of Haiti blocked the priocess. Luc got worried about his family and those other family members he is rsponsible for and went back into Haiti for his family.

While in Haiti Luc had a friend of his go to the police in Gonaives and ask if they were still looking for him. The police had told his friend that we were no longer interested in him because the "Blanc" (white guy or foreigner) was now gone and as far as they were concerned the matter was over. So Luc was in Gonaives continuing on with his work and was in the process of planting another church outside Gonaives.

I want you all to know that Sharing The Vision was not in agreement with Pastor Luc going back into Haiti. I tried to encourage him to be patient and let us try to get his wife and child over to the Dominican Republic. I do understand why he went back. I saw first hand what Aristide does with family members when he is trying to catch someone. I had told Luc that if he went back and Aristide and his thugs knew he was there that may try to arrest him again.

Well, on September 22nd a man by the name of Amiot Metayer, known by most as "The Cuban" was assasinated. Cuban's brother is blaming Aristide. And from what I am hearing from my connections in Haiti most hold the same opinion.

Cuban was the head of what is commonly called "The Cannibal Army" and he was ruthless. He murdered many and had controlled Gonaives for years. Nothing took place in Gonaives without Cuban's permission. He was at one time against Aristide but had recently joined forces with Aristide and was considered Aristide's main thug. Amiot Metayer was considered the second most powerful man in Haiti. You can see why it would be beneficial for Aristide if he was gone.

Since Cuban's murder Aristide has been searching for a scape goat. On the internet I have read where Aristide is blaming the Opposition Party for Cuban's murder. I have also been told by people in Haiti that my name was mentioned in the news last week as being involved. I was told that Aristide is now saying that the guns shipped down by Jeremy Benenati in my name were used to kill Amiot Metayer, The Cuban. I was also told Aristide said that it was the pastor who had been working with me in Gonaives who arranged the murder. That would of course be Pastor Luc Joseph.

As you can see the situation is serious and getting Luc and his family members out of the country is imperative. I believe, as do others, that if they arrest Luc they will put him on national television, claim that they have captured Cuban's killer, and then kill Luc and possibly his entire family. As I said it is a serious situation and many in Haiti are telling me that things are really bad right now, especially in Gonaives.

I have been in contact with the Consulate in Haiti and also with government officials here in the U.S. to see what can be done to get Luc out of Haiti. One of the problems is that Luc is not a US citizen which ties the hands of our government. The officials I have spoken with have told me that are going to see what can be done and then give me direction.

Please help us pray for wisdom and discernment and most of all Luc and his family that they will remain safe.

I know that if we all come together we can see Luc delivered by the power of prayer because I saw it happen with me. I am asking all to come together in unity to save the life of a truly humble servant of God. Those who know Luc know that he is dedicated to serving God and others.

I will try to keep ypou all updated to the situation and to what other things can be done to help Luc and his family. PRAY! PRAY! PRAY!
