Sounds like the article focuses on his supporters, not Paul, and it's fair to say he's got his share of wackos there. Even wackos support candidates, and you've been on FR long enough to know no one would criticize a candidate based on support from, say, Cindy Sheehan or Alec Baldwin or Michale Moore. :>)

A tad more concerning than the JBS or his regular guesting on conspiracy shows, another freeper pointed out to me that he apparently writes a column for the American Free Press. For those not familiar with it that's Willis Cartos lightweight companion to the Barnes Review, a full fledged Holocaust denial publication. AFP founded by Willis Carto after the Spotlight and Liberty Lobby went belly up. Carto also known for morphing youth for Wallace into the National Alliance over the years, a group he lost control of to William Pierce.

I haven't had time to look for what I'm told is a weekly commentary, I don't have easy access to the print version and saw only one Ron Paul article on their website (one too many), but if he's writing for Willis Carto, for distribution to the Barnes/National Alliance/IHR cadre of racists and Jew haters, obviously to gain their support, imo he's disqualified for public office and should be admonished by the Republican Party.

I'd be curious if anyone could shed some light on his participation at American Free Press.

Someone who actually READ the article in question, before tantruming over it! I love you, man!

(... in... you know... a completely and thoroughgoingly hetero sort of way, I mean.) ;)

He has some... interesting supporters:

"Anyone who doesn't vote for Paul on this site is an assclown. Sure he doesn't come right out and say he is a WN, who cares! He promotes agendas and ideas that allow Nationalism to flourish. If we "get there" without having to raise hell, who cares; aslong as we finally get what we want. I don't understand why some people do not support this man, Hitler is dead, and we shall probably never see another man like him. Pat Buchanan's book "Where the Right Went Wrong" is a prime example of getting the point across without having the book banned for anti semitism. The chapters about the war in "Iraq sound like a BarMitzvah, but he doesn't have to put the Star of David next to each name for us to know what he means. We are running out of options at this point, and I will take someone is 90% with us versus any of the other choices. Not to mention if Paul makes a serious run, he legitimizes White Nationalism and Stormfront, for God's sake David Duke is behind this guy!"

Write back when your friend's cousin's uncle of a guy whose sister dated bigfoot gets back to you. Seriously, get some meat to these sort of insinuations of guilt by associations. That's just plain sloppy.

Who do you support for the Republican nomination, btw?

Gee, "another freeper" did that, eh? I don't suppose you could tell us who?

But you got in a nice accusation, weighted with plenty of background and some Ron-Paul-sure-seems-like-a-Nazi innuendo but with sufficient room to disavow it later. Nice work.

Well, I typed into Google: American Free Press "Ron Paul" (forcing a match on "Ron Paul"). The very first link in the Google results appears to be the article you described, the only one on the American Free Press website. The page is marked: "(Issue #12, March 20, 2006)".

Now, on every Ron Paul thread, you will see the following banner:

Free Republic Ron Paul Ping List: Join/Leave

Note the link for Weekly archive. If you click it, you can find all of Ron Paul's weeklies issued from his congressional office and stored on his web space in Congress. If you look for the entries for March of 2006 prior to the twentieth, you'll see one called: International Taxes?. I managed to Google and compare to Ron Paul's website in less than two minutes, a lot less than

If you examine it, you'll find it is the same article. It was merely retitled when the American Free Press printed it.

Ron Paul allows anyone to reproduce and reprint his weeklies. You can even hear them toll-free. Unless even that is just another of Ron Paul's toll-free Nazi tricks.

So perhaps you should relax. Ron Paul isn't going to haul you to the camps and offer you a shower.

your subsequent post: "Note my post 61. If true, and I'd like to find out if it is, Stormfront would be more appropriate.
Yes, it's clear to me just how hard you were trying to find out if it was really true that Ron Paul is a vicious Nazi or not. You really worked yourself to exhaustion trying to find out, didn't you?

As this angle develops, could you please keep me pinged (future threads, for example). Thanks in advance.

The American Free Press is the latest incarnation of the new magazine of the anti-Semite conspiracy hounds expoeled from JBS.
A simply search of their site will show a number of references to Ron Paul including an article he has written.
