Bring back the “Poll Tax” & designate it to help the veterans! This would diminish the number of voters that don’t have a clue & have no business making such an important decision concerning our future. It would also help the folks that have actually contributed something.

I know, “It was ruled unconstitutional” and won’t happen but there should be a way to implement something like this.

Poll taxes were eliminated by the 24th Amendment, ratified in 1964.

But I think a state could prohibit people on welfare from voting. Some of the states did, as late as the 1930's.

It's up to the individual state, like whether felons can vote.

If they’d simply :

1. Establish one day and one day only to vote.
2. Require voter ID.
3. Require registration every six years in person at a local post office.

You’d see voting and the voting public return to normal in no time. This early voting garbage and idiotic “registration everywhere” has got to cease. Same goes for the mail in ballots like in Colorado and Oregon.

It’s one damn day a year ... Just go and vote at a polling place, in person, and on a paper ballot not because some sleezy scumbag gives you smokes and a ride on a bus, but because it’s your civic duty.

Obama and Clinton have opened up the flood gates. Those new voters will be loyal Democrats. Most do not even understand English.
