Trail's End has been able to ship 300 tons of popcorn on behalf of the Boy Scouts of America to Iraq and Afghanistan, to Overseas Military Bases, to Domestic Military Bases and to Military Families.
My son is in cub scouts and they are selling popcorn for summer camp and we've spent all day last weekend and all day today and he's only sold about $160.00 worth. We've hit the million dollar houses and the 135 K houses and everyone is tapped out and don't want to buy a $10 can of pop corn for the scouts.
They have an online order system that tracks the orders to the scouts and they don't get any money for the sales they get scout bucs to use towards camp or to buy sleeping bags etc..
If you could just order $10 dollars worth he'd appreciate it and if you don't want any pop corn you can send it to the troops in Iraq.

Great idea you had with the Freepers.
My son is having great success around our neighborhood. He’s sold about $1200 this year. He bacame highly motivated when he saw the Bear Compound Bow as one of the sales prizes.

I love how FReepers support each other and their offspring.....all of this is going toward a great organization.....
Just a suggestion, post this again next year with a ping to those who bought....I know I will want more but then if I run out can buy more during the year and your guy will get the credit.....

My son has his sights on that as well. We went to the jamboree a few weeks ago with the boy scouts and he's hooked :)
He got to shoot the bow and arrown, BbGuns and blow darts etc..

The last day to order this is tomorrow so it gets there in time for the holidays.
We just turned in my son’s sales today. He cracked $1500!
I know of one other scout in our pack who is close on his tail so I think we’re going to have a good year.
This is a great fundraiser because the product quality is so very good that people can’t wait for scouts to come to their homes so they can re-load on popcorn.
We really worked the neighborhood this year. At one house, an elderly lady answered the door. She said that her and her husband couldn’t eat popcorn anymore, but she gave my son $2.00 cause he looked like such a good young boy. He was doing the dance on her porch so I asked if he could use her bathroom. She wanted to introduce me to her husband. It was really cool, we found out that they were lifetime citizens in our city and they built the first home in our subdivision about 60 years ago.
Pretty cool conversation for both of us.
One of the kids in our pack hit up an old folks homes and sold just under $2000 - Jackpot !
WOW, that’s thinkin’ outside the can. I really enjoy this popcorn stuff. It’s actually fun.
They gave the kid a new bike :)
