My son heads to Quantico on 27 May for USMC OCS as a senior candidate. I was using google maps and google earth as aerial recon, and for the life of me I cannot definitively locate the Quigley course. I am failing my photo interpretation class ;-). Can you vets who have been there/ done that tell me WHERE the Quigley course is? I believe it may be south of the bridge, in the woods/water west of Timmerman, north of Flemming.

Scroll north from the airport. There’s the Medal of Honor golf course a couple clicks north of the airport. Is that what you’re looking for ?

It may have changed since I did the Quigley but it was in the woods just west of the OCS parade deck. There’s a large pond there which fed some of the water obstacles and at the end you emerged from the course into the grass adjacent to the parade deck.
Switch to map mode and zoom out, may be easier to see what’s where.

while the way I play golf does end up being a botanical excursion, the Quigley is anything but a game of golf ;-)

I didn’t attend OCS but I did graduate from NCOLS (NCO Leadership School) as a young Corporal in 1987. It was at Quantico and was operated by OCS and TBS Drill Instructors. I was stationed at Marine Barracks in DC so the nearest NCOLS was in Quantico.
If memory serves, the Quigley is located in the woods to the west in the map you posted. If you start at the Parade Ground and move west you will see the obstacle course just across a grassy field. Immediately to the west of the obstacle course beyond the treeline is where the Quigley begins.
It then snakes south-southwest around that swampy area turning north until you end up in the thicker woods. Beyond that is where all the obstacles are found which you cannot see in the photo because of the tree cover.
The final stretch (where you belly crawl through mud and water (THE “Quigley”)) ends up somewhere near the orginal starting point.
As I said, this was 25 years ago so it may have changed since then, although I will never forget that experience. As NCOs going through NCOLS it was a priviledge to be able to tackle something that officers usually only get to do.
It appears things have changed a bit since then as I see the barracks in which we were housed for NCOLS just north of the Parade Ground are gone and replaced with other buildings.

That worked. Zooming in you can see elements of obstacles in the water, pole structures for rope climbing, etc. Tree cover is thick, but you can discern many small structures.
To give you an idea how long ago that was when I emerged from the woods at the end of the course GEN Louis Wilson was standing there watching us complete.
Kind of gives a new meaning to the term Tiger Woods.
When I went through senior Platoon Leaders Course there was an obstacle course called the Day Movement Course and one of the obstacles was the Quigley. That was way out in Camp Upshur.
