Rules of Engagement an inch thick.

A brave officer and leader, prior recipient of an Air Force Cross, is given a general court martial for showing leadership by protecting two subordinates.

In Democratic administrations, no good deed goes unpunished. They also are more concerned about the enemy than the soldiers they are putting in harm's way.

Robert Strange McNamara: Arguably the worst Secretary of Defense the US ever had. He just cared about numbers.

True. Robert Strange McNamara disliked military people and he was scared crapless of somehow getting the Chinese involved. China at this time was embroiled in the ‘Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution’ and was in no shape to do a lot of anything. RSM thought military people were stupid and beneath contempt. He spoke to as few as possible and was much more concerned with the ‘student power’ demonstrators at elite universities.

The leadership is about the same today. The higher they go the more they sound like real tools.

What he did was right. They had to be sick of things and getting killed when they could have avoided it. The Navy did and does some things right in looking the other way. The air farce seems to have too many people competing for the same high chairs by any means necessary. Way too many chiefs and want to bes or something like that. The general that got him had too many stars in his eyes. What a ...

The way he did it was wrong though the motive was just. You don’t destroy evidence like that and not expect to have a bad consequence. He actually came out pretty well all things considered though what he went through should never have happened.

Democraps. Phooooey.
