Interesting geneology, by spelling? Maybe you are right, but then many immigrants could not read nor write, and the spelling of names became what the officials made it.

Since Currie was from Western Ontario, I would bet he is of Scottish ancestry as an accurate guess.

Why would you assume Currie's parents were ignorant immigrants? They didn't changed the spelling of Curry to Currie . Sir Arthur Curry did.

As you said, "Interesting geneology, by spelling?" Yet you claim Strathroy was settled by Scots so Currie must be a Scot . As if that makes one bit of difference .

Well , you'd lose your bet. Currie's Grandfather's name was John Corrigan who emigrated to Canada in 1838 and changed his name to Curry . Corrigan is an Irish name .
