Rebekah Curtis wrote this for The Creative Minority Report:
I'm an amputee, and have had a lot of health and mobility problems over the past couple of years. I just got a new leg, and am finally getting back on my feet. (Pun intended!) Even standing for fairly short periods of time was impossible without a lot of pain a few weeks ago. At the McCain/Palin rally in Virginia Beach yesterday, we stood for around eight hours straight, and I wasn't any more sore than anyone else. But that wasn't what made the day one of the happiest of my life.
Since we were the first people in line, we were able to rush like mad when they opened up the area around the stage, so we were only about six or eight feet from it. There was something I really, really wanted to request if I was lucky enough to meet Governor Sarah Palin. After the speeches, when Sarah walked down the stairs, my mom's was the first hand she shook. People were already crowding in and shoving things at her to sign, and she started moving away. I was so disappointed, but Mom grabbed her hand and asked her if she would grant my request--to sign my leg.
She kept moving, and Mom said, "Sarah!" one last time, and this time asked her to sign my artificial leg. Heh. Sarah's face lit up and she said, "Oh, yeah, okay!" I just about melted into a puddle. Here's a link to the video Mom took...

Pics over there. Give the people the hits and see them.
Sarah Palin is IDDG!
Ok, I’m done crying now. Great story and Sarah is just what America needs.
Pretty cool. Also like the audio of Hank Jr. in the background.
Ok, so will the media report that people waited 8 hours to see her?
I didn’t think so.
I don’t understand at all how people can hate this woman. Dislike her ideas, okay, but as a person, she is wonderful.
Please Dearest Lord, let her be our next VP then President!
We saw her yesterday in Scranton and she is awesome !!!!!
Lee Greenwood sang Proud to Be An American. Another great American patriot. The place was wild. And filled to capacity. Of course the locals not to be outdone and proving as always they are in the tank for O showed a clip with about a dozen or less people. I asked a cop on the way out and he said 4000 but doing a little math while waiting the 3 hours inside after 2 hours outside and counting and calculating my estimate was at least 5000.

Lee Greenwood sang Proud To Be An American, another great patriot. Our local tv not to be outdone that they are in the tank for o showed a group of 12 or less. On our way out I asked a cop the estimate of how many were there. He said 4000. Remember he is from Scranton. While waiting the three hours inside after the two hours outside and doing some math by actually counting seats and the approx number who could stand in an area, there were lines on the floor as this was in a sports complex I estimated at least 5000.
and how many cold stand in areas
Thank You Sweet Jesus for this woman that has such impeccable character. You go Sarah! We love and appreciate you!
She is the embodiment of a real woman! She has a huge amount of compassion. She isn’t bush in heels; She is Jesus in heels! I think that is what scares the crap out of liberals. Darkness can not comprehend the light!
Sorry about the double post, thought I had sent the first off into eternity.
