Fox News Channel's Tucker Carlson and Charles Krauthammer respond to President Trump's West Virginia rally.
KRAUTHAMMER: Here's a guy, his numbers are down in the 30s, he's got reports of a grand jury, he's got the walls closing in on him in Washington. He goes out into the country and says, these are my people, these are real people, forget about the numbers, forget about the chatter in Washington, forget about the stories about Russia... But [Trump] represents a huge constituency of tremendous support and enthusiasm.
Admittedly, this is one state where he won his biggest victory of all, but there are other states. His address was to the Midwest, the place where he won the election.
He wasn't so specific on policy, but he said: "I'm bringing you guys back! I'm the only one who listened, you were abandoned."
That's his appeal, that is how he won the election. He's reminding the elites that that appeal is still there.
Tucker Carlson asks Krauthammer about the possibility that Trump could be removed from office, wondering: "If that were to happen, some of these voters might conclude they're not really allowed to pick their own president?"
CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: That is why I worry we are headed into dangerous and choppy Constitutional waters. We know what the Democrats want to do; get control of the House and on day one start impeachment.
I happen to think; as you know I opposed the Trump candidacy. I don't think he is very well fit for the presidency. But fitness is not a reason for impeachment, and removal.....

Krauthammer is an ARROGANT, INSUFFERABLE, CONDESCENDING idiot full of hubris.
I don’t understand Tucker Carlson’s clearly visible infatuation with him. I stop watching when he brings him on.
The dark side left doesn’t want to believe that hundreds of democratic voters a day are seeing them for what they are...dirty, rotten and evil.
Technically, you are right. But the media uses the term impeachment meaning removal from office. If you tell them that Trump can be impeached and stay in office I’m sure they will be very confused.
Listen up chuckleheads!
This is not rocket science!
The heart of America is wise to grifters and they are willing to roll with DJ Tee, No one cares if a few chairs get broken anymore, I expect full rebellion in 2018!
> But the media uses the term impeachment meaning removal from office. <
Yes. The word “impeachment” has been expanded by the media to mean impeach and then convict.
To impeach the dems need 2/3 of the votes in the senate.

You are incorrect on that. To remove him from Office requires a 2/3 vote from the Senate.
He can be impeached by a majority vote in the House.
Bill Clinton was impeached by the House, but the Senate did not vote to remove him from Office.
Impeachment and removal from Office are two separate acts.
You don’t get it.
Kraut is saying Trump aint skeered and he understands his base.
Trump better deliver for the people in the heartland.
If he fails we are all screwed
The water is beginning to bubble.
Folks keep talking about Civil War II. One side has trillions of rounds of ammunition. The other side doesn’t know which bathroom to use.
Pence is far more conservative than trump.
All this impeachment talk is liberal mental masturbation.
They are seeking a climax, they will get an ocean
Phuket quality.
>> Why is he even talking about removing Trump from office? <<
Becaause the saintly Tucker Carlson asked the question.
Krauthammer is really getting tedious. Im sick of him and his never ending snark about Trump.
You can see on Youtube, the recording of Fox Election Night, Krauthammer was talking about Hillary carrying Florida by two points and “having it in the bag” Election Night on Fox at about 7:30 pm. He changed his tune by 10 pm when the shock started to dawn of the “experts”.
Krauthammer: “I happen to think; as you know I opposed the Trump candidacy. I don’t think he is very well fit for the presidency. But fitness is not a reason for impeachment, and removal”
Krauthammer is Jewish and what he means by saying the Trump is unfit for office is that Trump is not a nice, polite, well-mannered person. As sociologist John Murray Cuddihy once observed, the civil religion of both secularized and religious Jews is “niceness” and good manners (mainly because they want non-Jews to be “nice” to Jews in return). Trump is intentionally “not nice” at times to combat political correctness and to play the role of a crazy man whose actions can’t be predicted. That is why Krauthammer believes Trump is “unfit”; but then so must have Harry Truman and Andrew Jackson while an incompetent president like Jimmy Carter passed the test of niceness.
All bets are off at that point, and some form of warfare is almost inevitable. The kraut is apprehensive that nothing of the familiar ways may survive--that some form of a purge is at hand. Harsh consequences as everyone with a grievance will be unrestrained within that fog.
If you take out the top 5 blue states from the polling, the rest poll Trump in the mid to high 50’s and they all represent more than enough electoral votes.
“He is scared...”
As we all should be!
I think FReepers skew older than some other forums.
The House impeaches.
The Senate tries, and either convicts or acquits.
