Several freshman Democrat members of the new House of Representatives majority have turned on Speaker Nancy Pelosi in her steadfast refusal to fund President Donald Trump’s planned wall along the U.S. border with Mexico and are instead seeking for Democrats to cut a deal on the wall with Trump.
The ongoing partial government shutdown, which affects a quarter of the federal government and is now the longest shutdown in the history of the United States, began late last year just before Christmas. It dragged through New Years into the new Congress, and Pelosi–after she won the Speakership vote after fending off internal Democrat rebels–has refused to negotiate with President Trump on the wall. She and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer say Trump will never get funding for the wall, and they are keeping the government shut down because they refuse to pass any funding bill that has wall money in it.
House Majority Whip Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-MD), Pelosi’s second-in-command, says that Democrats are unified in their opposition to negotiating with President Trump on the wall. “We are totally united — totally,” Hoyer said, per the New York Times.

I have been sending e-mail after e-mail to him all day long for about 5 days.. Sending him articles of illegal aliens, asking why he is protecting illegals over the people in his district. I sent the article about the 14 overdoses in Chico, CA.
I asked him why he didn’t go to lunch at the WH today.

Once we reach the 30th day, and RIFs are possible...I think the Pelosi team will be shocked. It won’t surprise me on the first day of RIF potential, if 500 RIF’ed government employees are sent their paperwork and told they can go and search for a real job. Then Trump might tell Pelosi that she’s got 12 hours before the next batch of 2,000 RIF notices go out.

As for Hoyer, he’s partially responsible for the immigration mess since he, Kennedy, Moynihan, and Barney’s Frank gutted major security sections of the old Immigration & Naturalization Act. One section was used to keep terrorism supporters/advocates out of the US but they changed it to let them in if they were not part of an organized terrorist group.
Then a half-assed liberal judge gave the PFLP a win in the “ LA 8 case” which was a govt attempt to deport foreign nationals who supported the Marxist Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine terrorist group by selling its newspapers, etc. and sending them the money.
There was an editorial in the Baltimore Sun supporting Hoyer in his efforts, while ahole Frank kept referring to the Helsinki Agreement on Human Rights etc. as a reason to let terrorism’s supporters into and stay in the US.
Moynihan cited the Helsinki Agreement but he was just wrong on this. Hoyer, a legend in his own mind, is a mental midget and fool. After all he came from the “red” Democrats of Maryland and has never regretted it.
As for Ted Kennedy, I’m getting to have more of an opinion that he was much “redder” than anyone thought and the 1983 letter to either Andropov or his henchman about helping to defeat Reagan’s policies proved it.

Kennedy was a definite target for penetration, influencing (which succeeded - collusion)) or recruitment (which they really didn’t need to do since he was already paralleling what they wanted from Cuba and Nicaragua to disarmament, etc).
