Republican voters did their part. When one accumulates the popular vote for House races across the country, Republicans won by three percentage points—a margin that was once just under five points but narrowed as votes from deep-blue districts trickled in over weeks after Election Day. That kind of turnout for Republicans “would normally translate into GOP gains of 20-30 seats,” according to the Cook Political Report. But Republicans have as of early December netted only eight seats, bringing their total in the House to 220. At most, Republicans will hold 222. In races that seemed to be easy flips, Republicans flopped.
Republican voters across the country are starving for some accountability, and justifiably so. They should look no further than GOP leadership, namely House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
Throughout the 2022 midterms, GOP leadership gave exorbitantly to liberal and squishy Republicans—the type that would vote to codify same sex marriage—over America First candidates who wanted to take the party in a new direction. GOP leadership lit money on fire in the primaries to prevent America First candidates from making it to the general. When some of them made it through the primaries bloodied and bruised, McCarthy and McConnell filled their pots, put them over the fire, and left the room, only to return and try to save some of these candidates in the general election when they found themselves in hot water.
Don’t let the establishment blame former president Donald Trump. The only reason Republicans took the House was because Trump pulled several House Republicans across the line in 2020. The GOP’s overperformance with Trump on the ballot also gave Republicans redistricting power in crucial states like Arizona and Florida.

He has connections and supposedly money, He could spend less time putting people off with his tweets and more time coordinating election security reform ala a rightwing Soros. If that fails the Republicans can get gud at the tools the Dems have created for themselves like vote harvesting and election months since complaining about it doesn’t seem to work.
And that overcomes fraud how?
Please lay off the liberal talking points, too.
That’s for sure. Get rid of those crappy Senate candidates, and the horrible governor candidates! what a complete disaster.
You’re right, we lost in PA because Fetterman was such a better candidate than Oz. Right.
We’re losing because republicans don’t ballot harvest. Every election last month would have looked like FL or OH had there not been ballot harvesting.
First time in over a hundred years that a incumbent Senator didn’t lose.
You got that right. My senators are Scott and Rubio. Staffer reads my note and it goes right to trash I’m sure .
Really hate the fact that so many RINOs got their self-enriching and Constitution-destroying jobs by riding the Tea Party wave.
We won the majority in the House, and we hold more seats than Democrats in the Senate (it’s just that 3 independents caucus with the Democrats)
I do not accept the straw man that we somehow LOST! That is total BS!
Both the Senate and the house were almost evenly split, it was always unrealistic to assume we would suddenly get the biggest majorities since before the Great Depression, with a country that is nearly evenly split between patriots and commie fags.
We should have done a lot better.
Time for a shakeup, IMHO.
Personally, I like Harmeet Dhillon as RNC chair, and the Freedom Caucus holding Kevin McCarthy’s feet to the fire.

So you’re telling me in the future with more voters and far more resources and political division there are more votes? WOW that’s totally unbelievable and can only be the result of a single person’s personal popularity on only one side! The fact that Biden is a human potato and still beat Trump proves your point....somehow...
Did you know BushII beat Reagan’s landslide election in terms of vote gain? I guess that must mean BushII was a greater president than Reagan. Possibly the greatest president in history other than Trump of course.

If Washington or Lincoln lost three major wars in a row and showed no sign of stopping I’d question the wisdom of them remaining leaders. Why should I do any different for Trump? He’s a man, not a pagan god to worship unquestioned.
“So you’re telling me in the future with more voters and far more resources and political division there are more votes?”
There is always political division in the history of presidential elections. The jump between election totals due to population growth is usually a few million. It has never jumped over 30,000,000 new voters like it did 2020 (that is over 10 times normal).
If you can’t see that there was massive cheating, then we can’t have a conversation.
These articles are stupid. They parrot the left’s mantra. There was a red wave. It was mitigated by voter fraud.
You’re both saying the numbers are fraudulent and using the numbers as if they are valid. Pick one.
Of course theres fraud. Dems always cheat. Dealing with cheating is part of the job description as a conservative. Always has been. The question is has Trump been able to deal with it? Doesn’t look like it. and he’s had 3 chances.
Yep. They’d rather spend the rest of their careers in the minority than rule under a Trump majority.
Dim cheating in ‘20 and ‘22 is NOTHING like prior cheats. If they had the mail-in ballot scam in ‘16, we’d be looking at Hitlery’s second term.
This is a vastly different situation.
So for the sake of argument lets say the election were not stolen or that there was any fraud. Furthermore lets assume that voters voted exactly how they wanted for the candidates they wanted. So did the Republican party run poor candidates?? Did voters swing toward Democratic candidates because they didn’t like what the Republican candidates were saying or offering a vision voters didn’t like??
I believe these are fundamental questions the party should be asking. Since many voters do not follow politics all that closely they are likely to pick candidates that they feel are “safe” candidates, i.e. their vision or stance on issues is not to radical, or too far removed from the average voters positions. So if candidates have not done a good job articulating their positions or if they are too far to the fringe then I suspect that is why people voted the way they did. And we see the results.
Yeah you can scream at me about fraud, etc. but that is NOT going to fix the messaging problem we seem to have. And fixing that messaging is what it will take to win elections.
If you try to decide “what went wrong” based on a false premise, what do you get? You get the a false answer. The election system has been totally compromised. The FBI made up stuff to get Trump. The internet based vote counting system is completely compromised. We all saw votes being shifted from one candidate to the one who “won”. The vote count for a candidate should never go down during counting.
Yes. When we run a very successful celebrity Medical Doctor against a great big gob of idiot flesh who never held a job in his life and looked like a grotesquely fat retarded Uncle Fester, our problem is that we had a bad "message."
If only we could get candidates who could articulate a message like retarded Uncle Fester, we would have won.
Oz was from jersey. You can’t get worse then that!
Yeah. Reality sucks.
Some servant you are. Oh yeah you serve the devil.
