That is well within the realms of possibility. After all, 30 days on ship and the Phoenicians, Romans, Vikings would have landed in the Americas. Getting back is another question. only Columbus did that (he was also the only one with a good PR manager back home....)

This statue was found in Olmec ruins. (...as well as 'Cord-Pottery' which is identified with the Jomon of Japan)
