I've read here on FR from FReepers that Phoencian is a Greek word that means 'red-headed.'

In the bible, the children of Esau (a redhead) are called "Edom" which is Hebrew for red. You find a fair number of Jews with red hair.

I suspected as much. I read that some people believe the Northern Tribes were proto-Celtics...what is your 'take' on that?
