Seriesly, something was going on under the surface of society for weeks before we saw a boob on the 'boob tube'. I get a sense of revulsion at what is presented as entertainment when we only want the TV on as a babysitter and background sound for ourselves while we are doing other things. Background media is important because most of what we do is usually ritualistic and symbolic; just basic routine things. So we need something to keep our mind occupied while our bodies do basically mechanical things.
It only takes a spark to start a fire. And there is a lot of dry underbrush around to fuel a fire:) I want to see a poll about this sort of discontent. It is everywhere, and I live in L.A.
