I have a good (IMO) suggestion for action at theaters where Michael Moore's film is being shown.
The article from "The Hill" at the following link blows one of Moore's key assertions right out of the water:
http://www.thehill.com/news/052604/clarke.aspx
Print out this article, make a bunch of photocopies, and pass them out to theatergoers. I would think handing them out right after the film, as opposed to right before, would be the most effective.
wrongo bongo. let him show the peice of trash, it will get few takers.... let it wither in the Box office. Don't give the press a bunch of footage of dopey people protesting. I live in LA they choose the most inarticulate to interview and broadcast. They do this on purpose, they look for the person with the hat or the mis spelled sign.
I hate the dufus but I know film audiences... they will not be flocking to this like it was "the passion"
The media will try to start a buzz, whose going to throw 9 bucks on that? Let it whither.
"You ain't nothing but dog poop. There's three things you can do with dog poop , you can step in it, clean it up or just ignore it until it dries up and blows away"
I suggest any kind of activity which draws attention to this MOOREon is "stepping in it" I recommend ignoring it until it blows away. However if you would like to do something anyways, I suggest seeing this movie when it comes out.
You know, don't you, that Mel Gibson has said he has doubts about the Iraq invasion, because all the hype about WMDs has proved empty. He told this to Hannity (who immediately changed the subject).
I guess my idea is just a little too subtle. I envisioned simply refuting what the people just saw with published facts, without overtly protesting, or even appearing to be anti-Moore while handing it out. In fact, they won't even really figure out what I am trying to do until they read the article. They might even assume that I'm another lefty passing out more Bush-bashing information. Then it will dawn on them that either Michael Moore or the Congressional paper of record is a liar.
I suspect Moore's film will do well in terms of a documentary, and Moore will be able to add a million or two to his pockets, but "Spiderman 2" will blow that blow-hard out of the water, and as far as the general public is concerned, they probably don't even care about Michael Moore. He's a publicity hound with absolutely little to offer. His audience will be inherently anti-Bush, and I suspect he'll get few converts to his cause.
Still, I also suspect that the Hollywood community will award him with yet another Academy Award in 2004. It will be a sickening acknowledgement that the Academy is filled with a bunch of left wing activists, but it's not surprising. That bunch is so left wing it took them more than several years to acknowledge that Steven Spielberg could make great films in spite of their popularity, and Steven himself acknowledges himself to be a left wing guy.
To whatever end they wish, the Hollywood community is anti-capitalist, and it's a shame they build their wealth on the capitalism that we struggle for as conservatives. If those idiots had any sense, they would realize their active involvement in left wing agendas would ultimately be their demise.
Well, I agree with Mel on this one. There's nothing "manufactured" about our failure to find WMDs. That -- WMDs -- was the given reason for the invasion, so the invasion in retrospect looks unnecessary. Tom Clancy also agrees, and he's no leftist. You can be a conservative and not favor every invasion that comes down the pike; me, I only favor invading countries that are clearly threatening the United States.

If people were truly interested in facts would Clinton have won twice? If you really want to kill a movie , make the world believe it was BORING. Go to movie review sites and say how excited you were to see it only to be beaten down into an almost never ending glance at your watch. How you stuck in there hoping against hope to be entertained only to find out the movies over and you may even have dozed off. Nobody goes to a movie to be bored stiff.
Well, I've spent much time arguing with Moore's fans.
They are generally extremely politically ignorant. So they will see Clarke as nothing more then Bush's man doing Bush's will.
Bowling for Columbine Filled With Inaccuracies
Then I'll stand by with a sign proclaiming "Michael Moore Hates America" and I'll hand out that article to anyone who tries to contest me.
Bump!
