News Release:

CBS has some reservation whether the documents are real, but the facts in the documents are real. If President Bush would answer the facts of the documents this controversy would be over.

CBS has been interviewing the 86 yr old secretary all afternoon

1.) I typed documents just like those. The content is true. I thought they were mine. When I heard they were forgeries, I realized they weren't the actual ones I typed. My eyesight isn't what it once was or I would've noticed they weren't mine.

2.) When Dan read them to me on the phone, I verified that I typed them. I did type documents like those. I can verify the content. When I saw the copies after 60 Minutes aired, I realized they weren't the exact memos I typed.

If they are waiting for the 86 year old Knox woman to sound as though she is NOT reading a CBS talking point memo, they are going to have to postpone this until Vegas starts taking bets on Pro Wrestling.

I'm hip deep into SOX right now. What a very interesting observation.

If you whack Rather, you probably have to give the market some notice of that first, don't you? SOX requires that if there is something that happens to your company that will materially effect the balance sheet, the company has to make the market aware of it within 48 hours of learning about this event.

This might very well be delayed further if that is what they are discussing.

In this case, what do you do first? Whack Rather and then tell the market that the news division is going to make a divot in earnings, or announce you plan to whack Rather, and then whack him 48 hours later?
