If we want to talk about which religon has caused the most pain and suffering in the world in the last few hundred years its not Islam (I am not a believer of any religon). Christian civilisation was and continues to be intolerent look at the inquisition, holocaust, rawanda, bosnia.

The Holocaust was not caused by the Christian religion. It was caused by national socialism.
Rwanda was a tribal conflict between Hutus and Tutsuis.
