WASHINGTON (AP) The Navys chief investigator concluded yesterday that procedures were followed properly in the approval of Sen. John Kerrys Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart medals, according to a Navy memo.
Vice Adm. R.A. Route, the Navys inspector general, conducted the review of Kerrys Vietnam-ear awards at the request of Judicial Watch, a public interest group.
Judicial Watch also requested in August that the Navy open an investigation of the matter, but Route said in the internal memo that he saw no reason for a full-scale probe.
"Our examination found that existing documentation regarding the Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart medals indicates the awards approval process was properly followed," Route wrote in the memorandum sent yesterday to the secretary of the Navy, Gordon England.
Then he threw the symbols away and he is proud of it!
Now let's talk about Kerry's trips to Paris to negotiate with the enemy.
WHICH SIDE ARE YOU ON?***The swift boat controversy has brought to the surface a long-suppressed debate about who we are and what we stand for in the world and in history (space and time). ***
Why do I have no faith in this finding? Politics, that's why.
Who wrote the citations?
Yeah, whatever.
The Kerry campaign will morph "procedres were followed" into "the medals were earned, and everything we say is true."
WHITE WASH....
Navy finds no improprieties in awarding of Kerrys medals http://www.thedesertsun.com/news/stories2004/national/20040918004144.shtml
That's all they can do is morph the man.
With his record, he's an easy target.
Now I have lost faith in the Navy's IG.
I wonder if the Navy also OK'ed the Combat "v" on his Silver Star? LOL
What about the "V" for Valor, which the Navy has said it has never awarded with a Silver Star? sKerry has the Silver Star WITH the "V" listed on his website.
Sort of like the bombing went properly but the wrong target was hit.
Yes. Exactly!
This finding is equivalent to 'Justice Department concludes no laws were broken when Sandy Berger inadvertently walked out of the National Archives with classified documents stuffed down his pants.'
The Navy has to go to the Senate and Congress for funding.
The Swifties have carved Kerry up, and rightly so.
The truth is out there so they'll just give it short comment and leave it at that.
I don't think the Justice Department has ruled on Sandy "hands in my pants" Berger yet.
What about the purple heart issued before he saw combat..?..
They're saying that procedures were followed . . . they aren't addressing the SUBSTANCE of the citations, nor the fact that the reports upon which they were based were exaggerated and inaccurate (and written by Kerry himself) . . . don't be fooled by the spin . . .
I think they know the Swifties exposed the truth, so are willing to pass on this.
If they went at Kerry, the Left would accuse Bush of releasing the hounds on a decorated veteran.
There has been justice, of sorts.
Plus, Kerry's going to lose the election.
I don't think I am.
