The libs are trying to spin this tape against Bush. There's no question about it.

Last minute desparation...h-a-i-l m-a-r-y!

It's amazing that a so-called journalist and some third rate military people know the truth and tactics better than our military...NOT!

Do you purposely seek out all of the negative news stories?
Or does it just work out that way?

If Bill Clinton had taken any one of the three opportunities he had to capture of kill Osama we wouldn't be having this conversation and the World Trade Center would still be in business.

That's just a fact.

If Slick Willy had done his job, this would not now be an issue.

There's a big difference between knowing that Bin Ladin was in Tora Bora and thinking he might be there. Perhaps you might explain just how we were supposed to seal the border with Pakistan? Just exactly which troops were available for this and how were they to be inserted and supplied?

. . . the Bush administration has flatly denied it bungled a chance to capture the mastermind of terror at Tora Bora in Afghanistan.

And, how many times did Clinton reject the opportunity to have him delivered to us????

Whether bin Laden slipped the noose in Tora Bora, he is operationally spayed and neutered.

This is why his most recent video is just that, because he is incapable at this point of pulling off a Madrid.

As a reporter who closely tracked Bin Laden's movements at Tora Bora in late 2001...

Ooooh, I'm ever so impressed...

NOT.

The US lost a lot of battles at the beginning of WWII, especially in the Pacific, but the media at that time encouraged, not discouraged our military. Should we have brought our soldiers home when things weren't going the way the people or reporters thought they should? Politics be damned, let the military fight the war! Our soldiers over there don't have the same reaction as the media. That should say something!

Why isn't the MSM talking about how CLINTOON TURNED DOWN an offer to have Bin Laden handed to him?

"told me the CIA informed him in mid-November of Bin Laden's presence there."

Guess houskeeping is still a work in progress.

Well, I see you're being pounded on by all the former "He's dead Jim" chorus line types, that up until the Video, were absolutely certain Osama was taking a "dirt nap" on the cave walls in Tora Bora, but now insist he was never there. Ain't that grand?! Blackbird.

This would be a good thread after the election where honest criticism of the WOT strategy & tactics could be discussed but today the most important battle of the war is being fought at home.

OK, lets say 500 Special Forces are put on the ground at the Pakistan border, and 100 are killed, a number are captured and tortured on Video tape, and bin Laden slips through anyway.

What would the libs say? "Bush wasted more than 100 special troops for nothing!" I think its better for the U.S. to let Osama relax a little, get a little sloppy, and then get him when they know exactly where he is.

I have seen several articles and commentaries with the ref: Tora Bora.

Yet, how many articles have referenced the disclosures by the media which have hampered our search for bin laden?  Case in point:

Jim Geraghty on Classified Leaks on National Review Online

And in what has to rank as one of the most damaging leaks of all time, press leaks tipped off Osama bin Laden to the NSA's interceptions of his satellite phone conversations. He then switched to more sophisticated phone systems, according to intelligence officials
