Chirac visits Arafat at hospital
From correspondents in Paris
November 5, 2004

FRENCH President Jacques Chirac visited Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat in hospital today.

Mr Chirac's visit was very brief and he apparently left in a half hour. His office did not release further information. He arrived in an official motorcade of several cars and did not speak to reporters.

There have been conflicting reports surrounding Mr Arafat's condition, with one senior Palestinian official saying that he had lapsed into a coma. But some of Arafat's aides have denied that he is comatose.

Mr Chirac "saw Yasser Arafat and his wife, to whom he expressed his best wishes," the president's office said.

Mr Chirac also met members of the Palestinian Authority who were present and doctors "who are doing everything possible for the health of the (Palestinian) president".

French television station LCI quoted an anonymous French medical source saying Mr Arafat was in an "irreversible coma" and "intubated" - a process that involves threading a tube down the windpipe to the lungs, often to connect a respirator.

He's dead, Jim.

Pandering to the jihad vote again. ======

I figure Jacques wants to do a cozy psyco-exploration of Arafat's brain... trying to get a heads up on the best terrorism techniques to apply against America!!!

Gee there's a surprise. Check in to a hospital in (socialist) France, and check out with a tag on your toe.

I figure Chirac was alarmed to hear that Arafat might have AIDS and decided, in light of their close fraternal relationship, that he, Chirac, better get an HIV test.

Exactly - imagine the leader of such an obnoxiously moralistic nation as France going to visit the terrorist scum on his deathbed.... the only friendly visit Arafart deserves is from the Grim Reaper or Satan.....

Maybe Jaques Iraq Chirac, like Kerry, has a fondness for wealthy widows -- he may have been there to hit on Suha, now that she may be worth a couple of billion....

Kerry will be arriving in Paris on the next plane, since Ter-AY-za is about to cut off his allowance for good. Not only did he drag her through the horrors of a political campaign, but he didn't even have the decency to WIN. So Mama T got all the downside of a gruesome political campaign, but she doesn't even get to enjoy the White House (thankfully for us!).

I can understand that. They say Arafat is suffering from AIDS. Every piece of the puzzle is falling in place...

According to this article, Arafat has billions in Swiss banks. He's skimmed the donations and put away money for himself!!
I bet they know where it is, surely Yassar had the sense to know he ought to make the money available to his wife. Though they say 'she knows nothing'.

It must have been a tender moment. Let the f*ing French keep his putrefying corpse. And may he rot in hell for all eternity!
