President Bush yesterday moved aggressively to resurrect his plan to relax rules against illegal immigration, a move bound to anger conservatives just days after they helped re-elect him.

The president met privately in the Oval Office with Sen. John McCain to discuss jump-starting a stalled White House initiative that would grant legal status to millions of immigrants who broke the law to enter the United States.

LOU DOBBS - Nov.9,'04- 17:21 EST CNN POLL QUESTION: Do you agreewith Secretary of State Colin Powell that millions of illegal aliens in the U.S. should be given legal status? 88 percent NO (4154 votes) vs 12 percent YES (545 votes!).

Colin Powell is attending this meeting with Mexican officials together with Tom Ridge, head of the Homeland (((( I-N-S-E-C-U-R-I-T-Y )))) Department is also participating in this diabolical agreement to flagrantly defy our estasblished long standing U.S. immigration laws and are participating in aiding and abetting illegal aliens which immigration law prohibits.

We need to flood the White House with E-mails - FAX'es and tel. calls daily demanding they be fired and this lunatic plan stopped.

How can Tom Ridge proclaim he head of the key agency that is stopping illegal aliens when he's drawing up an agreement to permit 14 million illegal aliens who had absolutely no police background checks for criminality of which there could be several hundred thousand terrorists?

Start calling the WHITE HOUSE comment TEL.# 1(202)456-1111 OR 1(202)456-1414 Pres. George W. Bush- 1600 PA. Ave.,NW, Washington, D.C., 20500

Does W 'employ' such illegals at his ranch?

Is he beholden to those that do?

What is pushing him to this?

I love this Tancredo guy:

"An amnesty by any other name is still an amnesty, regardless of what the White House wants to call it," said Rep. Tom Tancredo, Colorado Republican and chairman of the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus.

"Their amnesty plan was dead on arrival when they sent it to the Congress in January, and if they send the same pig with lipstick back to Congress next January, it will suffer the same fate," he said.

Okay all you blindly loyal Bush supporters. Bush got re-elected as you wanted. Many of you said that if we all would just re-elect Bush he wouldn't try and ram this amnesty-lite program of his down Americans throat, against their will. Many of you also said you would deal with this after Bush was re-elected. So, how about it?! How do you plan to deal with it?! Or was all that talk just blow-hard bluster?!

It didn't become an election issue...seems like no candidates except Tom Tancredo (what percentage of the vote did he get, anyway?) cared enough about their constituency and what's best for the country to get the win this practically guarenteed.

Face it folks. Your emails aren't going to do any good. This support of the invasion is going to go through over the holidays, fast.

It's a mandate in action!!

Every time I got a request for money from the RNC, I wrote CLOSE THE BORDERS with a big black Sharpie across the top and mailed it back empty.

I voted for him, and this issue was a non-factor in the election. Kerry would have done the same.

Sad. I honestly can't follow the logic on this issue.

President Bush is already betraying the conservative base and the security of this nation. I knew this would be his number one issue after the election.

So much for national security...

Thank you for stabbing us in the heart, Mr. President.

Not surprising.

We saw that one coming.

Pray that Senator Byrd (Democrat) stops it like he did the last attempt to push an amnesty bill through (c. 2002).

All of us Bush supporters would say this, "Their amnesty plan was dead on arrival when they sent it to the Congress in January, and if they send the same pig with lipstick back to Congress next January, it will suffer the same fate," he said."

And of course ask who were you supporting for President?

Mr. President; I love you, BUT, we do NOT need to legalize ILLEGALS!! We need to send them packing and replenish our OWN population, by reproduction, not importation. I mean, geez, we don't even require people who come here to be healthy or skilled or even educated any more. Please quit helping the RATs reduce this country to the lowest common denominator!

Before I get very upset about this, can someone give me some links or paste some more info? I'm sure there is more to learn about this. I don't understand the reasoning or logic behind this.

All the intellectual support for mass immigration is specious collectivist thought repeated in mantra to make the writer or speaker feel good about themselves. So I assume Bush to make himself feel good about screwing over America for the Hate America/big business coalition of the damned repeats the lies to himself and hence we have this looming debacle.

Very crafty move to fly this under the SPECTER radar....

The whole push the next few days and all eyes and attention is focused on getting rid of
Specter

He is the perfect rabbit for the conservatives to chase...

Meanwhile back at the hacienda...Manuel Jose Fidel Ortega and Mohammed are packing their various surprise packages for el norte and tio Sam....some nice Mexican Red Meth and whatever
Uncle Osama has packed up..
