Savage Blasts Rush Limbaugh Again (Vanity)
11/16/04

Posted on 11/16/2004 9:25:41 AM PST by NYC Republican

I made the mistake of listening to Savage again last night, and he AGAIN blasted Rush Limbaugh, calling his show really boring, calling him a fat loudmouth, "Mr. Gulfstream", saying no one wanted to hear Limbaugh talk about the election anymore...

He said a few more things, but the exact verbiage escapes me.

He also said numerous times that he will not discuss politics anymore, then quickly goes into it. He also took yet another series of swipes at President Bush and Arnold S.

He claims that Arnold has a big ego, is a disgrace, and has done NOTHING for California. He also says that his approval rating is disastrous, not nearly as high as the polls.

This guy, Michael Weiner, er Savage, is the disgrace. He's a bi-polar nut-job, who has the biggest ego this side of O'Reilly.

What a jackass.

Michael Savage is great fun to listen to. The more worked up he gets, the funnier he gets. You can't take him too seriously. Now, his book, 'The Savage Nation' is great. My 19 year old son regarded politics with a fair amount of antipathy. After he read the book, my son's attitudes and opinions made a major adjustment to the right. I have to credit Savage with being able to reach younger audiences in a way that Rush can't. Rush preaches to the choir, but I think Savage's strength is shaking up young people and getting them to think. Rush is like classic rock. Savage is like the total death-metal that cuts through and gets a kid's attention. Let him rave on!

Lately, I must agree, Limbaugh has been mind-numbingly dull.

He didn't mention him by name, rather, by inference.

Arnold would be a disaster as President.

You are high.

1993 was not even an election year.

I can't listen to Savage. He goes off on nonsensical tirades that make absolutely no sense. He was talking about todays youth once that sent him into a rage about pants that sent him into a rage about prison that sent him into a rage about man on man sex that brought him back around to his original point about todays youth. It was bizarre.

Come on! Savage is far more entertaining than Rush. I respect and listen to Rush, but he sometimes sounds like he's just a puppet of the GOP. Savage has the balls to criticize both parties, and he stays true to conservative, not party, loyalties.

I didn't used to like Savage, but I do now.

I like Rush, but he reached critical mass a long time ago.

Savage's delivery is not puffed up like Rush's, and I think Savage is quite a bit more intelligent than Rush too. I don't always agree with Savage, and he is over the top sometimes, but he's on target most of the time, and like Liddy, you learn a lot from his show. He, like Liddy, knows history. Rush always preaches, but he rarely teaches.

Rush is the choir man no doubt, but I've never been fond of singing along.

I agree 100%, but I think he's far better than Davis and Bustamante.

Guys, Rush is a patsy.

Rush will stand up for Bush no matter what. Savage is a pure conservative. He jumps on Bush for the border, he jumps on Bush for not levelling with us when he needs to. He jumps on Bush for not calling fascism for what it is. He jumps on Bush for his minor flip-flops.

Rush is Bush's poodle. Savage rocks. Sometimes Savage knocks on Bush for ridiculous things, but still, he calls it like it is.

Rush will beat around the bush, period.

I will give it to Rush for picking the liberals apart, but aside from that, I don't know.

Sorry. 1992 then.

Rush Limbaugh endorsed Ross Perot. I am looking for a specific article now.

What is your deal with Savage? I respect you most of the time, but you seem to have a vendetta against this man. Unlike O'Reilly, Savage was second-to-none is his easly support of the Swift Vets and "Stolen Honor". He is a patriot on immigration and is within his rights to blast the President for his unfortunate stance. Yes he is a nut-job, as he himself admits, but on issues such as illegals and Islamofascism, he is 100% dead-on, and is the most eloquent voice on radio on the latter threat.

You're all wet. No comparison...

Why do you think Daryn Kagan dates Rush? His looks? Nope. His conservative ideology? Nope. His brains... Now you're talking

How can any of you stand to listen to his nasal NY accent, it's disgusting.

Ah, I see. I stand corrected.

I misinterpreted some of the other posts as meaning that Savage mentioned Limbaugh by name.

Both are "out there", both have a grain of truth in what they talk about,

both make you think, and both are entertaining

yes, I think both are useful for when you need something to listen to while traveling so you don't fall asleep on the road.
