What does a physicist know about under-sea archeology and for that matter....under sea geology? What makes this Physicist such an expert that he disputes the American?

Nothin'. But there are a host of people who will saddle on his "findings" right away, and of course, it gets his name in the papers. :')

I did a google search. Huebscher works for the Hamburg Center of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences. He is possibly a geophysicist, whose specialty would be earthquakes, volcanoes, etc.
