Gene's a liberal on social issues and has said as much. However, he's a conservative on fiscal and foreign policy issues. He's a registered Dem but I have a feeling this won't be his only time voting Republican. Like many Jews, I think he's realizing what the Democrat's really stand for.

Gene's a smart guy and a hell of a businessman. I admire him and am a KISS fan for as long as I can remember.

Poison's CC DeVille is also a staunch Republican, believe it or not!

BTW I know Poison toured with KISS this summer. Is CC Still with them?

He was there. Bret Michaels, lead singer, was very dignified in his support of the military (past and present) and mentioned his dad serving in the Korean War. It was a very entertaining night.

Not bad for a bunch of mimes.

Actually, they are among the FEW artists who I dig their music AND am not sickened by their politics. As mentioned, the Nuge (Spirit of the Wild, baybee) also.

Did you know Vince Furnier ("Alice Cooper") said, "If you're listening to a rock star in order to get your information on who to vote for, you're a bigger moron than they are. Why are we rock stars? Because we're morons. We sleep all day, we play music at night and very rarely do we sit around reading the Washington Journal."

I generally don't have much good to say for so-called rock musicians, but I'd have a beer with this fellow any day, and pick up the tab.

If you have any pull with the Hall, get Link Wray in there at least as an "influence" before he dies (he was born in 1928). Right now he is in the Hall as a One Hit Wonder (for Rumble).

One "hit" but it got Pete Townsend to pick up a guitar and is a favorite single of Bob Dylan (who is STILL a fan).

I haven't seen Ray yet. For some reason there was a logjam in my email. The spam got through and some legit mail but this weekend I got around 4 days of good email and spam about a week late (with the correct stampings). In it was a request by some friends to go see Ray. Maybe at Thanksgiving when my brother is in town. The Ramones' documentary is passing through this area this weekend as well, maybe I'll see it in Austin tomorrow.

"You know what I like I President Bush? He doesn't over think things. He wakes up in the morning, and when his feet hit the floor he scratches his balls and says, 'let's kill some f***ing terrorists'."
