You can flame me for posting this. But I think all Freepers ought to know the secret recipe.

I thought his cook said what made it extra-special-lick-the-skillet-good was that she used pound cake instead of bread. I have always thouht about trying this - once.

No flame, just a comment or two. I am SOOOOOOOO glad that President Bush won re-election, and I will not stop my gloating. My second comment is that I absolutely love PB and mayonnaise sandwiches! Maybe I should throw a bananer into the mix!

I like PB. I like mayonaise. Not sure about both together. My mom always like PB and tomatos.

It's very tasty! Maybe I'll try PB and tomatoes, too.

I had a roommate who liked PB, baloney, mayonnaise and pickle sandwiches. Never got the nerve to try it, though.

You Atlanta and Athens Freepers who don't already know might appreciate this tidbit I heard recently. Although Elvis never actually went inside the Varsity, he on many occasions would order $50 worth of chili dogs (when two cost 35 cents), have them picked up by limo, brought to the airport, and flown to Memphis.

When I was a kid, looong ago, for a treat we used to mix peanut butter and pancake syrup together to the consistancy of axle grease and dip white bread in it. mmm goood. Anyone else do that or was it just us?

Now that you mention it, it wasn't PB and tomatos! It was peanut butter and pickles (cucumbers in vinegar, not really fully pickled) that my mom liked!

When I was a kid... my mom would mix pb and syrup, and we'd eat it on bread or with crackers. THIS is how we had pb, never with jelly.... when I think about it, it one of those 'little things' that make me smile about being a kid, with my Mom doing something sweet! :)
