Go Ahead, Make Our Day - John ''Crushed'' Kerry Seriously Considering 2008 Run

If Santa Claus is checking his list and checking it twice, it appears that we here at crushkerry.com, as well as our readers, have been very nice. What are we talking about? Well, if one is into reading some very early tea leaves, it actually appears that we might, just might, have John Kerry to kick around some more. We're not quite sure how to take this. I mean, look, we went about getting a new site name (and yes, that is coming eventually) to reflect the fact that we (along with 62 million others) accomplished the goal of crushing Kerry. I mean, we had this guy shipped off to the pantheon of losers inhabited by his mentor Mike Dukakis, Walter Mondale, and other similar losers. But apparently John "Crushed" Kerry never read Benjamin Franklin who said that "the definition of insanity is doing something over and over and expecting different results".

Either that, or the man is simply a masochist. But then again, only an arrogant, elitist buffoon such as him would even begin to think that his 2004 candidacy was anything other than a disaster, or that people would actually want him to run again. Yet apparently he thinks just that. Find out why we can say this by looking at the evidence below.

The first piece of evidence comes from the latest story in The Hill. Apparently, many in the party believe that Kerry's insertion of himself into the decision over who is to become DNC Chairman is a signal to everyone that he's not ready to retire to one of Te-RAY-za's 7 homes, or to quietly returne to being a do-nothing, nondescript, backbench Senator from the People's Republic of Massachusetts.

What's interesting here is that Kerry is pushing hard for Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack to get the top job, hoping that the new chairman will be in his debt and ease the path to a 2008 run. (Apparently, Johnny Boy didn't take our endorsement of Howard Dean for the job to heart). We mean "interesting" in a funny way because Vilsack was on the short list for his VP, and looking back he would likely have been much better than the eventual choice of James Sokolove, Jr., er, Johnny Edwards. Hell, he might even have been able to deliver his home state. The article also states that some members of the ultra-left Congressional Black Caucus realize the humor in what he's trying to do, rightfully wondering why anyone would listen to him given the campaign he ran.

Yet another sign that Kerry believes himself to be the Lazarus of American politics was the ultra-pathetic attack ad, sent via email, that we brought to your attention last week. Only someone looking to the future would have, so soon after he was shunned, come out swinging (and missing badly) as hard as this clown. In the Michael Moore-like screed, Kerry made sure he hit all the hot button left wing issues like universal heath care, election reform, and warning of ultra right wing conservative appointments by the President.

But what's most telling, and leads us to believe Kerry is serious about 2008, is something he alludes to in his ad, but has been silent on since the election - the radical left, (led by the #2 seed (Gore Regional) in our "Most Annoying Liberal Pundit" tournament)Keith Olbermann inspired theory that for whatever reason, not all the votes in Ohio were counted, and if they were, the results are fraudulent. We think that here Kerry is taking a page from the John Thune book.

If you will recall, Thune, who legitimately probably had an election stolen from him in 2002, bowed out gracefully, and didn't make an issue of the voter fraud. By doing so, he kept himself a viable candidate for the future, and his classy handling of that rather questionable lost, likely helped him over the hump in defeating Daschle. Kerry thinks he's doing the same thing here.

The reference in the ad about "all the votes will be counted" was a wink and nod to the kook fringe like Olbermann, who are akin to "flat earth society" members. However, other than that Kerry has not said word one about Ohio. Granted, in reality it's because there's no "there" there, but in his egotistical mind we're sure he believes he's "staying above the fray" for the good of the country, even though in the back of his warped mind he thinks he was robbed.

What we can't believe is that this vain attempt to be a kingmaker and standard bearer is ever going to get off the ground. Hell, his awkward, uncomfortable post-defeat meeting with Reid and Pelosi was yet another example of how bad a candidate this guy really is. Even the Democrats, for all their faults know a "turd in the punchbowl" when they see one. And judging from how he came off in the campaign, he's the biggest turd in the bowl. If there is one prominent Democrat who actually thinks Kerry could be elected dog catcher nationwide, let alone President, we've yet to hear it.

And chances are we likely won't. Democrats are not ones to keep their Presidential candidate losers around and in the spotlight - especially with so many fresh soon-to-be losers to choose from. One need only look to the pasture inhabited by the aforementioned Dukakis and Mondale, as well as Al Gore and George McGovern to see that. And pay no attention to the inane ramblings of his brother Cameron who is no stranger to criminal activity, especially in campaigns don't look for a John "Crushed" Kerry redux. Not because Johnny Boy doesn't want it mind you, it's just that you could likely fit anyone excited about the prospect into a phone booth with Linda Rondstat and Michael Moore, and still have room to spare.

Although we here at the site would have a font of information to draw on, we're trying not be selfish. But it's hard, oh so hard.

He doesn't realize that most of the 56 million votes were not FOR him, but were AGAINST Bush. Next go-round, Kerry would be lucky to get 10 million total votes.

AGAINST Bush is right on the money. Here in Colorado every Kerry/Edwards "supporter" I spoke to in person would always mention something about Bush when talking about why they were voting for Kerry.
