Sez here:
"Has white liberal Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., no sense of decency?
His defamatory comments about Associate Justice Clarence Thomas as a prospective chief justice of the U.S. Supreme Court support a corrupt racial universe, in which the best and brightest black thinkers are blacklisted by the white liberal elite because they threaten the power base of the liberal black establishment.
Blacks aren't "Black" unless they're liberal.
Nuff said!
Let's be fair. Reid's comment on Thomas does not necessarily constitute racism. Are we racist if we say Thurgood Marshall's written legal opions left something to be desired? I think not. We are not better than than those who play the race card with no merit when we play the race card with no merit....
??? Huh? What's your point?
All week I've listened to the Reid take on Clarence Thomas. I haven't heard anyone, even Rush, comment on whether Russert demanded even one example of something poorly written by Thomas. Did Russert ask such a question?

No. However, Sen. Reid, in his very next comment, praised Justice Scalia, who is very ideologically similar to Justice Thomas so race does appear to be an issue as far as Reid's comments are concerned.
If I was praising Souter and putting down Marshall, then yea.
You have 2 guys with very similiar beliefs, what makes one a "disgrace" while the other is somehow worthy of praise if they both work the same way and draw the same conclusions.
The weird thing is, in the Reid interview, it never occured to ask reid why he felt thomas was a disgrace and no one bothered getting him to elaborate.
I salute Armstrong Williams. My jaw dropped as I watched and listened to Reid insult Clarence Thomas. I felt Reid's remarks were dripping with prejudice. To my eye, the look on his face and the tone of his voice made it evident that he knew exactly what he was doing, and that, he didn't care.
Nope, He just moved on.
Not my words. Just my thoughts on the article's points.
I beg to differ. Reid said something like Thomas' opinons are poorly written and his logic is often flawed.
