WASHINGTON - Charles Barkley stopped by the Supreme Court last week to visit an old friend, Justice Clarence Thomas.

Celebrities often are spotted in the court, ranging from the justices themselves to big-name lawyers and TV journalists. But none got the rock-star treatment accorded Barkley.

The arrival of the former NBA star broke the solemn atmosphere of the cafeteria, where usually subdued workers snapped to attention. Barkley was sprawled at a table a few feet from the cafeteria checkout for a half-hour or so while word spread through the building and the crowd of admirers grew. Wellllll.....I'm not so sure about that--he's rather liberal, I can tell by listening to his opinions recently when watching some games. In a way, it would be cool for him to run for Alabama governor & win. I love the fact that he isn't too politically correct, & that may hurt him some. Will he be able to "tone it down"?

News flash! This just in! Barkley has "a passion for basketball." I love it when our media explain things to me.
