I have seen a few interviews with Mr. Williams, and frankly he feels bad for what has happened. Which is a refreshing difference, when most folks in his shoes may have squirmed about and blamed someone else.
Actually this morning, he did say, that he should not have done this. He has had time to reflect and understands the coverage of this incident.
Frankly, it is difficult for many commentators to stay within the lines. Are they a journalist, are they a commentator or are they of a political affiliation, or all they 3?
Williams is a classy man, and I hope folks will judge him accordingly.

I guess all MSM will now refuse to take payment for advertisements. Because of conflict of interest in checking out any and all claims they make.

The article states that Williams took payments from the Bush administration. Are those the facts? Or did he (and others on contract) accept payment from a PR firm that the DOE hired? What is the truth here?

A conservative columnist has been dropped by a major syndication service because he accepted a payment from the Bush administration to promote the No Child Left Behind law to fellow blacks and to give the education secretary media time. It is my understanding that it was the PR firm (Ketchem ?)hired by the Bush Administration who actually paid Williams.
I heard Williams tell O'Reilly that he didn't know if the Bush people knew he'd been hired to promote 'No Child Left Behind'.
The MSM (and Dems) are in a feeding frenzy' trying to find some wrong doing in hopes of smearing & eventually impeaching GWB!

My understanding is Williams owns the Ketchum [SP?] PR firm that contracted with DOE for a $240,000.00 PR campaign. It appears to be a conflict of interest since he didn't routinely disclose the relationship between his talk show and his PR firm.
