Oliver Stone fumes at new fundamentalist morality in US

Hollywood News]: New York, Jan 8 : Oliver Stone is deeply disappointed with the lukewarm response given to his epic film, 'Alexander The Great', courtsey the new fundamentalist morality in the United States.

Oliver will, therefore, change the offending homosexual scenes before the movie is released on DVD. "There's a raging fundamentalism in morality in the U.S.," The New York Post quoted Oliver as saying.

"The bond between men can be suggested in different ways. From day one, audiences didn't show up. They didn't even read the reviews in the South because the media was using the words, 'Alex the gay.'

The gays lambasted me for not making Alexander openly homosexual, and, in the Bible Belt pastors were up in the pulpit saying that to watch this film was to be tempted by Satan," he added. (ANI)

Plenty of posting on Stone's movie, I know. But, I had not read Stone will delete the homosexual connection before the film is released on DVD. I suppose, sometimes, even the hard headed do hear the message--if it is loud enough and forceful enough.

Oh, yeah, American film crickets are all fundies. You should see Roger Ebert at the snake-handling services.

Geez.

Oliver should spend less time on Kennedy and Nixon conspiracy theories and more on getting decent acting for his films.

Wow, nice to know that when Hollywood lefties are faced with the choice of art or profit, they behave like the good little capitalists their pal Castro kills or imprisons.

Oliver if things offend you so much then just leave and move to Europe and make your movies there. No one is forcing you to stay here.

My youngest daughter saw it and said it was the latter -- CRAP! Said the acting was bad, story was bad, and didn't think much was good about the movie.

He need not delete it for me. I won't see it anyway...

I just don't trust his judgment when making historical movies.

If Alex was homosexual, portray him as such. It's true to historical fact.

As a Christian, I don't ask that lies be told about one's morality. But I'd rather watch it on the History Channel.

ACTUALLY, I think he'd do well to spend more time, thought, and money on his wardrobe. I saw him on Leno (or was it the other guy?) all hunched over, dressed like a bum, wearing ill-fitting jacket and ORANGE socks. Maybe orange socks are some new gay code for "I'm available" or "Keep away, I'm crossing my ankles at you."

I didn't see the movie but wonder whether Alexander wore orange socks. Or not.

Oliver Stone is an idiot. If his film really bombed because of "fundamentalist" Republicans, then there should have been at least 54 million Kerry supporters seeing Stone's piece-of-crap gayfest.

Only a Leftist moron like Stone could believe the failure of his film was due to "fundamentalists."
