Dean Says Democrats Will Make Schiavo Case an Election Issue
LAT ^ | Apr. 16, 2005 | Michael Finnegan

Posted on 04/16/2005 12:21:50 AM PDT by FairOpinion

Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean said Friday that his party would wield the Terri Schiavo case against Republicans in the 2006 and 2008 elections, but for now needed to stay focused battling President Bush on Social Security.

House Majority Leader Tom DeLay's role in the end-of-life debate will be a main target, the DNC chairman says at a West Hollywood breakfast.

"This is going to be an issue in 2006, and it's going to be an issue in 2008," Dean told about 200 people at a gay rights group's breakfast in West Hollywood, "because we're going to have an ad with a picture of Tom DeLay saying, 'Do you want this guy to decide whether you die or not? Or is that going to be up to your loved ones?' "

In his breakfast speech, sponsored by Access Now for Gay and Lesbian Equality, Dean also took issue with fellow Democrats who had voted for proposed constitutional amendments to ban same-sex marriage.

JDAM is a missile, I don't remember what it stands for exactly -- Joint Direct Attack Munition ( I googled it, I heard the acronym, but forgot what it stood for)

It's our missile, we hit ground targets with it, from airplanes, if I recall correctly.

http://www.boeing.com/defense-space/missiles/jdam/jdam_back.htm

The Joint Direct Attack Munition — or JDAM — is a low-cost guidance kit that converts existing unguided free-fall bombs into accurately guided "smart" weapons. The JDAM kit consists of a new tail section that contains an Inertial Navigation System/Global Positioning System.

In actual use these weapons have proved to be very accurate and highly reliable. They can be accurately delivered in virtually any weather conditions. JDAM can be launched miles from the target and safely rely on the navigation system to update the weapon all the way to impact.

JDAM is a newer gen GPS guided weapon.
Its a play on themes regarding Geraldo and Dan.

Geraldo got caught after doing this staged stunt on Fox where he claimed he had just survived an errant U.S. JDAM at Tora Bora.
Turns out the JDAM incident was hundreds of miles away...and days before : )

Kinko's and the Dan Rather CBS attack on President Bushes Military service record... was like the Geraldo JDAM stunt.....he became an ASS....and we all cheered : )

Oh, I missed the expose about Geraldo's stunt -- I thought it was for real.

Thanks for the explanation, that's very interesting. I didn't know about Geraldo's fake.

Best regards

Uh, Mr. Dean, Schiavo's loved ones wanted her to live and called on Congress to intervene - they didn't just do it on their own.

The Democrats thrive on lies.

LOL...I walked in and turned the T.V. on to see Geraldo crawling and thrashing in the dirt.
Fox had a telepromter run below with errant JDAM...

My first thought was...."Oh my God....his legs have been blown off!!

For a split second or 2...one could see Mujhadeen types standing and looking at Geraldo like he was a lunatic.

Later....I read that he had set this stunt up.....and arranged it for a satellite feed.

The Afhgani's who were guides for his crew thought he was insane.....as he dropped to the ground before the camera and began to writhe around and throw dirt.

By then the people will need to be reminded which party stands for life and which party stands for starving people to death.

also D for death.

If the Democrats are smart they won't do this. I am constantly talking to people who don't know what really went on with this case. When I explain the facts to them--their point of view changes.

The more people know about the situation, the worst the Democrats look.

Looks like shoot to me...GR has never been a "hottie" -- I lost interest long about the time he gave such a build-up to Al Capone's empty vault. What a loser.
*PS: He has always needed a haircut.*

Hello Rams.

Is your family tree connected to the Ramsbottoms from Lancashire England?

I have spent many hours doing Geneaology research on my Family tree from Lancashire England.
Ramsbottom is an intersting name...and has some corruption ident like my last name Isherwood.
Isherwood....becomes Yserwude,de Escherwode...depending on how far back you track the name.
Actually..the name goes into Wales pre-1000 a.d.....Ishlawoceod in the welsh.
Wales being nextdoor to Lanchashire.

There is a famous Isherwood...also known as a Ramsbottom/Isherwood.
Before WW-2...he was a test pilot on the Prototype Supermarine Spitfire.
He lead a group of Battle of Britian RAF vets in 2 squadrons to Murmansk Russia in 1941
They kicked vaunted JG 77 and their ME 109's. with Hawker Hurricanes which were diverted from North Africa.
Known as the HNG Ramsbottom Isherwood 151 wing,
several pilots and HNG recieved the order of Stalin....a money perdeim...and vodka for life.
No B.S....the Russians kept sending the Vodka after the war to them in England.

He later became commander of 11 group....then lead RAF squadrons in the Pacific.
He was killed in 1950 flying jets as a test pilot.

anyhoo...your profile says you like history...so there : )

By the way...Ramsbottom is a corruption from the german word [Roms]...for leeks.
Bottom simply means lowlands.
or..it could mean...Rams in the valley.

Ramsbottoms are likely to butt heads over this one : )

Dean speaks of using the killing of a Catholic disabled woman for political gain at a breakfast for homosexual activists.

More of those "Christian" values, Howard keeps talking about.

"We need to talk about Christian values and how they're Democratic values...".

And don't forget to also thank God every day for Howie. After all, many good people prayed their brains out for him to get the DNC chair spot. :)

"Dean is making a HUGE mistake of making this an issue for the elections"

Nah. He's using his God-given talents, however spare they may be, to muster whatever he can when it comes time for the next Presidential Elections. I like him. With folks like him out in front, how can we Conservatives lose?

We need to encourage more people like Dean to campaign. I mean, when the Dems lose, let's make sure it's PUBLIC! :o]

LOL M

Speaking of losers and staged MSN for money.
Several years ago a floopy Egyptian who is head of the Giza Plateau...a Zahi Hawass,
did a camera crawl below the Sphinx to tantalize the Edgar Casey/Atlanteans built Giza...hey there's a secret chamber crowd.
Zahi Hawass...who likes to wear Ray Ban glasses,
also had an incident a decade before with the Libyans and Mohimmar Khadfy.
Seems two priceless Egyptian antiquiteis turned up in Libyan luggage...just after the wine and dine celebration.

Turns out Khady wears the exact same Ray Bans as Hawass......go figure : )

Its a roar to see these opportunists like Hawass and Geraldo get humiliated.

Bill Clinton is next.....a 20 ft tumble down the stairs of his U.N. jet : )
