NEW YORK - There is nothing wrong with an unpopular opinion.
Nor is there anything wrong with a subversive one, nor a crazy one. This country was founded on opinions that were deemed by the powers-that-were to be unpopular, subversive, and crazy. Dissent - even when that dissent strays from logic or humanity - is our lifes blood. But if you have one of those opinions, and you express it in public, honesty and self-respect require you to own up to it.
Unless youre Rush Limbaugh.

Not only does Olbermann smear Rush, but he does so a week later than Begala. If there's one thing worse than a partisan hack, it's a lame second-rate partisan hack.
Pretty sad when pMSNBC's most popular show is a re-broadcast of a radio show from a sports talk station featuring a dried up coke-head.
"If you run a Google news search on the quote "Cindy Sheehan is just Bill Burkett. Her story is nothing more than forged documents..." many sources attribute it to Rush."
??? Are you saying that this is NOT a audio clip from his show on this page ?

Wow, he'll have fun roasting Olberman tomorrow!
That's hilarious. When I was 16 I could have taken 1 week, maybe 2 to graduate with a comm. degree from Cornell. I mean, when you don't have to take calculus, college isn't very difficult at all.
This is like the tree falling in the woods, will anyone know or notice when Olberman's show is canceled?
Rush could shout his opinions out of his window and have an audience bigger than Olberman's
LOL. You are BTW obviously more intelligent than Keith O.
Rush has a three-hour extemporaneous radio show. He has no script, he does not prepare his remarks beforehand. Unlike Olbermann. If you don't like what the man says, call him and challenge it, but you cannot pull out 2 sentences from this kind of show and demand that it cannot be misleading in any way.
That's one of the reasons I think he is so P.O'd at everything. He wsa in a car accident as a kid and has no depth perception. He can't drive. He had to live right in Bristol, CT when he was at ESPN. Bristol is a nice suburb, but when you can't drive, it is the pits. His parting statement about ESPN et al. : "The nicest thing about Bristol?- Seeing it in your rear-view mirror."
Olbermann is like John Kerry. A card-carrying member of the Pretensia.
Oh, and mediamatters probably has violated copyright by having that clip considering that Rush sells his audio on his website.
"Do you surf mediamatters much or do you just cash the Soros check directly?"
Did you find a problem with the clip ?
Or is it just a problem when someone points out the truth ?
Sure there is. Nietzche's (did I spell that right?) opinion on the new uber man strongly influenced Adolph Hitler's views as I understand it. But this doesn't mean that certain opinions should be censored. We allow them all because we are America.
I just wish Mr. Olbermann wouldn't inject this blatant moral relativism so early into his article.
Keith Olbermann's non-rating of a show is a flop and he knows it. He will go the way of Phil Donahue, Dennis Miller, and the sweet little tennis pro.
Consider this: Not one news source of any kind -- not a website, not a blog -- had a headline that asserted that "Cindy Sheehan's son alive and well" citing Rush as a source. So, apparently, you, Begala and Olbermann are the only ones too stupid to figure out what he was saying.
Oh, and I didn't click the clip. I trust your word as to its contents, I just figured it was copyrighted and mediamatters (a division of George Soros, Inc.) would have their butts sued from here to David Brock's rumpus room.
I think Ace has more class.
Your 109 appears to say that since his show was extemporaneous, with no preparation, it's allowed to be misleading at times - Yet your latest post seems to attempt to explain it as a brilliant intentional crack at the media.
Have any other explanations for it while you are at it ?
"Not one news source of any kind -- not a website, not a blog -- had a headline that asserted that "Cindy Sheehan's son alive and well" citing Rush as a source. "
Nope it appears that all of them figured out he just ran his mouth a little long. - I don't see them headlining "Rush comes up with brilliant slight to media " either.
Regarding the lawsuit, will that come after he sues the Enquirer ?
