NEW YORK - There is nothing wrong with an unpopular opinion.
Nor is there anything wrong with a subversive one, nor a crazy one. This country was founded on opinions that were deemed by the powers-that-were to be unpopular, subversive, and crazy. Dissent - even when that dissent strays from logic or humanity - is our lifes blood. But if you have one of those opinions, and you express it in public, honesty and self-respect require you to own up to it.
Unless youre Rush Limbaugh.

Rush was talking about the Media's orgasm over Burkett's forged document and the same way they are acting with Cindy.
The jealous little wannabes just keep trying to register as significant.
Olbermann is a head case. I'm convinced he's bitter because he never made it to the bigtime. I'm sure he blames everybody but himself (especially evil conservatives).
I mean, Cindy Sheehan is just Bill Burkett. Her story is nothing more than forged documents, there's nothing about it that's real, including the mainstream media's glomming onto it, it's not real.
So when Olberman says people going to Rush's website are misdirected, perhaps his problem is he didn't click the right button.
Olberman is still on?
he must have the same ratings as phil donahue.
Olberman?
Isn't that a troll guy from Monty Python who lives under a bridge?
ARTHUR: There it is! The Bridge of Death!
ROBIN: Oh, great.
GALAHAD: Look!
ARTHUR: There's the old man from Scene 24!
BEDEVERE: What is he doing here?
ARTHUR: He is the keeper of the Bridge of Death. He asks each
traveller five questions--
GALAHAD: Three questions.
ARTHUR: Three questions. He who answers the five questions--
GALAHAD: Three questions.
ARTHUR: Three questions may cross in safety.
ROBIN: What if you get a question wrong?
ARTHUR: Then you are cast into the Gorge of Eternal Peril.
ROBIN: Oh, I won't go.
GALAHAD: Who's going to answer the questions?
ARTHUR: Sir Robin!
ROBIN: Yes?
ARTHUR: Brave Sir Robin, you go.
ROBIN: Hey! I've got a great idea. Why doesn't Launcelot go?
LAUNCELOT: Yes, let me go, my liege. I will take him
single-handed. I shall make a feint to the north-east--
ARTHUR: No, no, hang on hang on hang on! Just answer the five
questions--
GALAHAD: Three questions.
ARTHUR: Three questions as best you can. And we shall watch...
and pray.
LAUNCELOT: I understand, my liege.
ARTHUR: Good luck, brave Sir Launcelot. God be with you.
KEEPER: Stop! Who would cross the Bridge of Death must answer me
these questions three, 'ere the other side he see.
LAUNCELOT: Ask me the questions, bridge-keeper. I'm not afraid.
KEEPER: What is your name?
LAUNCELOT: My name is Sir Launcelot of Camelot.
KEEPER: What is your quest?
LAUNCELOT: To seek the Holy Grail.
KEEPER: What is your favorite color?
LAUNCELOT: Blue.
KEEPER: Right. Off you go.
LAUNCELOT: Oh, thank you. Thank you very much.
ROBIN: That's easy!
KEEPER: Stop! Who approaches the Bridge of Death must answer me
these questions three, 'ere the other side he see.
ROBIN: Ask me the questions, bridge-keeper. I'm not afraid.
KEEPER: What is your name?
ROBIN: Sir Robin of Camelot.
KEEPER: What is your quest?
ROBIN: To seek the Holy Grail.
KEEPER: What is the capital of Assyria?
ROBIN: I don't know that! Auuuuuuuugh!
KEEPER: Stop! What is your name?
GALAHAD: Sir Galahad of Camelot.
KEEPER: What is your quest?
GALAHAD: I seek the Grail.
KEEPER: What is your favorite color?
GALAHAD: Blue. No yel-- Auuuuuuuugh!
KEEPER: Heh heh. Stop! What is your name?
ARTHUR: It is Arthur, King of the Britons.
KEEPER: What is your quest?
ARTHUR: To seek the Holy Grail.
KEEPER: What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
ARTHUR: What do you mean? An African or European swallow?
KEEPER: What? I...I don't know that! Auuuuuuuugh!
BEDEVERE: How do know so much about swallows?
ARTHUR: Well, you have to know these things when you're a king
you know.
Who is Keith Oblerman?
Wow. That is a breathtakingly dishonest account. I remember Rush's website account of this. The point in quoting the 8/12 remarks was to put the 8/15 remarks in context. He was referring back to the 8/12 remarks on 8/15. He didn't say he never said the actual words attributed to him on 8/15. His point was that the context, as shown by the 8/12 notes, was not what was being portrayed by Paul Begala. As for the website being "scrubbed clean", the fact is that Rush updates content every day, by replacing the previous day's content with new material. That is all that happened here.
I was left at the end of Olberman's rant asking "what did Rush say that was so bad?"
Quotoing him is slandering him?
Rush has let his mouth outrun his brain again.
SO9
Great comment!
"Olberman slanders Rush again."
Good points.
For one thing Bill Burket has sought out psychiatric treatment for his problems ~ Cindy hasn't.
Kweef Olbermann's about as nuts as you can get on cable news.
That was from Brent Bozell's Media Research Center. Olberman predicting that Rush's career is finished. Just one to file away when Olberman's useless show is cancelled.
