The Associated Press reports that Senate Majority leader Bill Frist, Republican, and a doctor, has gone down to Louisiana to treat hurricane victims:
The senator spent the day treating diabetics for low blood sugar and dealing with cases of high blood pressure and dehydration. Though he is a surgeon by training, there was no need to perform surgery on Saturday, he said. After overnighting in Nashville, Tenn., following his day in New Orleans, Frist planned to return to the Gulf Coast on Sunday to work in storm-ravaged areas of Mississippi and Alabama, as well as returning with supplies to New Orleans.
Meanwhile, Frist's fellow politician/physician, Democrat Party Chair Howard Dean is issuing press releases attacking Frist for his position on the estate tax.

Boy, an internist could do a lot of good. How about it, Howie?
But maybe that's not why you went into medicine.

The term "Hippocratic Oath" obviously means nothing to Screamin' Howard...That's because he took the "hypocritic oath".

And when this hits major news it will be billed as "the doctor, now Senator Frist, who used to perform exploratory surgery on cats in his dining room..."

I'd expect they'd want to collect the bodies first.

Dean was an internal medicine specialist. I say "was" because he hasn't practiced in more than a decade. Details of Dean's medical career have always been sketchy; I've heard rumors that he might have lost a couple of high-dollar malpractice suits, and that helped convince him to give up medicine.
By comparison, Bill Frist was one of the nation's preeminent heart surgeons before entering politics; and he graduated at the top of his class from Harvard Medical School.

If you're hinting at Dean, he's from Vt., by Park Avenue, NY.

Howie thought it was the hypocritic oath. Intellectuals is so smart-like.

Those that can -- DO.
Those that can't -- Bitch..
The Democrats are revealing their lack of a plan, lack of ability, lack of character, lack of patriotism and showing their ONLY desire is personal POWER and GRAFT.....
The Democrat bastards CONSTANTLY insist they be "part of the decision" or "part of the solution" but all they ever deposit in the Easter Basket is $hit.

One of the beauty queens on either CNN or MSNBC reported that this morning.
She did try to protect Landrieu by not mentioning her name. Just said one Senator from LA said it would be too traumatic for people to see their homes so SHE said they should not be allowed to go.

Dean's from Vermont, not New Hampshire. My mistake. I always get those two swapped on geography tests. Okay, how many folks have NH and VT offered to take?

I'd rather have the cool, calm, collected Dr. Frist looking down at me than frothing at the foul mouth Dr. Dean! Show's who's got class and who doesn't.
