My best guess is that he is "good copy" and meets an internal desire to "feel good" and that is all that they (MSM) care about. I've long wondered the same. Any why they keep taliking to Clintonistas (Lanny Davis, e.g.) when EVERY one knows exactly how they will answer EVERY question.

I think the answer is that they must try to present a contrast even f it is only a characiture. Davis lies like he always did by the program can say they had an opposing view (unlike the NYT, ABC, BBC etc.).
