If Jim Gilchrist wants Republican help, why doesn't Jim Gilcrhist simply join the Republican party and tell Campbell to take a flying leap?

Because the Republican Party is not overly concerned with enforcing immigration laws these days.

The CA GOP sucks thats why. Props to Gilcrest and any other brave individuals that run on their beliefs and not their contributors beliefs.

As for HH, he is soft on immigration, so I don't think it will come up, unless it becomes a huge issue.
