I am really glad the survey was not done 50 years ago. *S*

The Miami Triad at Oxford, Ohio seemed to pave the way for a 3.2 beer, no cars allowed, college town to achieve the reputation it did for serious partying!

But it did; and rightfully so.

We brought the hard stuff in by the carloads from Hamilton and College Corner, Ind. And, the partying on the weekends was most serious, indeed.

I made so much money in college I took a 50% pay-cut to become a Naval Officer upon graduation in 1953. True story!

Was I a bootlegger? Of course -- among other businesses. *S*

Reminds me of the ban on bottled beer at my college, ostensibly for "safety"....which led to many people switching to cheap canned beers-------that is, quantity replacing quantity.

Ugh.
