I think the pens from the US Govt were marked "property of the United States Govt." Then apparently, the feds accused Tony Schaffer of having their pens in his possession. What a sleazy and childish way to set someone up who risked his life in Afghanistan.
Whomever sent him that box, what a bunch of idiots. They tried to entrap Tony Schaeffer imo, thinking that he was the only one. He wasn't a lone whistleblower after all. Some bodies at DIA are nothing but stupid felons.

I think the pens from the US Govt were marked "property of the United States Govt." IIRC, the "pens" issue occured when Lt. Col. Schaeffer was 15 years old. Doesn't make it right, but it's a petty hit considering.
"You can't trust his word about missing info relating to a terrorist attack, he stole pens!"

The deal with the pens was he took them when his father worked at an embassy and gave them to other students at the school. He put this info on his security clearance application, possibly because it may have existed on paper elsewhere. Who the heck was even tracking them in those days?
