A new edition of "The Elements of Style" has just appeared "Elements" is the classic writers' handbook by William Strunk Jr. and E.B. White. The new version starkly illuminates our disrespect for national treasures.

Horrible! My copy of "Elements of Style" was printed in the 1960's; I got it at a library clearance sale in the 80's.

The original Strunk & White was not only a manual for good writers; it was an example of good writing. Similarly, the new, desecrated S&W is manual for bad writers, it is an example of execrable writing.
