Even if he is found Not Guilty, Libby will be stuck with a crushing debt just for defending himself.

But the larger question is this: How can Democrats plausibly claim that they were deceived into supporting the Iraq War when so many of them are on record endorsing the rationale?

Earth to Mona - I would think by now that you would have realized that the 21st Century Democrat does not feel confined by such quaint concepts as plausibility. This allows them to blithely deny previous positions, attack Bush when he does and attack Bush when he doesn't, and freely engage in conspiracy theories that defy logic and reason, such as the claim that the Bush Campaign "stole" Ohio with voting machines, even though only fifteen percent of the votes in Ohio were cast on such and most of those were in Democrat-controlled counties.

Considering that Niger's exports amount to uranium and goats ("One of the poorest countries in the world, Niger's economy is based largely on subsistence crops, livestock, and some of the world's largest uranium deposits"), it's a good guess what Iraq had in mind.

Well, I suppose it's plausible that Saddam's links to Niger were for the purpose of importing more goats.

IMHO, the cRats have actually surpassed Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf, the information minister of Saddam’s regime ("Baghdad Bob") in their ability to manufacture and disseminate scenarios and rhetoric to deceive the public. And, just as it was with "Baghdad Bob", a cursory investigation of any and all of the cRat's denigrative assertions and allegation shows them to be ridiculous, at best.
