It makes absolutely no sense that the politicians draw the lines. Judges are not much better. I think they should have 3rd graders redistrict....couldn't be much worse.

Why? Something changing in the demographics?

That was a whole pile of S.F. precincts coming in.

78% No on 73 in S.F.

As if many of its residents have to worry about pregnancy... :-P

"According to the returns posted at the California Secretary of State, they have knocked out union dues from yes to no"

I just looked at the website. 52.4% yes. What planet are YOU on, anyway?

Hey and my hubby and I just moved here from AZ and we're staunch R's. We weren't able to register in time for this election but I've been praying a lot and will register ASAP when I get my drivers license.

Oh, but there aren't Canadians. They are Americans that are retiring in British Columbia. Her brother already lives up there and they have bought a home there, so it looks like it is a done deal once their house sells. I wonder if they are moving because of Bush.

I'm on the site right now.

52.5% Yes
47.5% No

75 is ahead, even after the San Fransisco dump.

This election actually reminds me of elections in the early '80s. L.A. county is proving to be downright normal compared to S.F./Marin.

Crossing my fingers that the propositions that need passing, get passed.

San Francisco voter turnout: 9.2% --- 39,373 votes cast
Los Angeles voter turn out : 9.1% -- 353,077 votes cast
Marin, Humbolt votes already mostly counted.

Orange County voter turnout: 15.3% -- 228,503 votes cast
San Diego Co. voter turnout: 15.7% -- 217,812 votes cast

Orange and San Diego mostly uncounted so far.
Things are looking good.
The Democrat areas were heavily suppressed, most of their worst damage has already been accounted for in the running vote count.

If 73 passes it might put a dent in California's abortion industry. One can only hope!

The one that switched sides from yes to no was the Teacher Tenure one. So far, Prop. 73 (barely) and Prop. 75 are still holding on. Prop. 75 might actually pull it off!

"Hi Shellie! I'm in Scotts Valley. My daughter attends Scotts Valley High School. For the past 2 weeks, they've been mostly learning about how great Islam is, how Arnold is trying to destroy California and how George W. Bush is the most corrupt President in history."

Back at'cha! I'm just outside of Watsonville, and my daughter is in her first year at Cabrillo College. Her English teacher is the proverbial socialist and bashes the President at every opportunity. My daughter (who's turning out to be a good little conservative, like her Mom :) did a report on "Feminism" that delved into the history, and the sham that it has become, and he LOVED the idea of having a little Rep in his class. He always challenges her, and she always keeps up with him, point by point!

By really, the indoctrination of liberalism is rampant there. In her other classes, she says she sits there and simmers. LOL :)
