Sylvester Stallone has gotten the green light to make "Rocky 6." No word on exactly who granted the green light, presumably Satan. There is such a concept as too much of a good thing. "Rocky" is a classic, no doubt about it. A feel good underdog story that inspired a nation to wake up at dawn, eat raw eggs and jog. "Rocky 2", as sequels go, was pretty good. "Rocky 3", okay, all the oddball charm of "Rocky" was gone by now but not bad. "Rocky 4", with the evil Russian commie robot "Drago", as played by Dolph Lungren, well, enough said. "Rocky 5", frankly, I didn't see it, but I'm pretty sure no one left the theater after watching "5" and said, "Man, I sure hope there's another one!" Yet, that is exactly what Sly has up his sleeve. It was hard enough during the earlier installments to suspend our disbelief to the point of accepting a 40-something, 5'6 white guy as heavyweight champion of the world. By the time "6" comes out Stallone will be 60. Rocky may as well be played by Abe Vigoda at this rate.

Maybe he'll fight Abe Vigoda.
So is Stallone actually doing the boxing this time, or is he training someone else? I could understand Rocky 6 if a new face was doing the actual fighting.
Those poor, poor white, Christian Serbian wanna-be world conquerers...they never get any breaks.
I don't plan to see either one! Stallone needs to be put to pasture.
Wasn't that the premise of Rocky 5?
Is it going to be titled "Gums" or "Eye of the Cataract"?
Did we WANT it to go to Part Six???
I wouldn't know. I haven't seen it.
Can't believe that Rambo script...American Indians being hassled in Queens by white nazis? I mean wtf? If there was ever a time for John Rambo to come out and take on the Intifada it is right now!
Rocky 5 was actually a pretty decent flick. It wasn't as good as the first in the series, but it did reverse the downward trend that started with Rocky 2 and accelerated noticeably in Rocky 4.
Talk of new Rambo flick ened when it was discovered that the office of Sen patrick Leahey had leaked the film's location to the Wahsington Post.
Yeah, Sly hates guns except when they make him a lot of money. I won't be seeing this one.
There aren't rumblings. It's happening. The teaser poster has even been released.

Things could be worse than taking on neo-Nazis in defense of Indians. The initial treatment was based on the writings of Noam Chomsky and had Rambo working at the UN as a Greenie. No lie.
RE: Rocky V.... how come Rocky's son aged 6-7 years while Rocky was in Russia (a trip that was only a few weeks)? :o).
"One has to wonder who will be Rocky's arch opponent this time around?"
Maybe he'll challenge Ali for his Medal of Freedom?
Fun Fact: George W. Bush, Sly Stallone and Fred Dryer were all born July 6, 1946.
They're probably close in age then.
I'm sure that's right. Pretty close to almost exactly the same age.
