CHARM, Ohio More appropriate names are hard to come by. In Charm, situated among the rolling hills of Holmes County the largest Amish settlement in the country life is postcard perfect and, yes, charming.

During the space of four years, while in college in Indiana, there were several nautral disasters. The first reponders to each were the Amish.
I LOVE the Amish.

They are really nice people. Ive had the opportunity to work and break bread with them in the past. The running joke with me and my mom is that I should go get an amish wife....However the hard part would be to break her in to technology.

I sure wouldn't mind living a life of that kind of peace and quiet. I'd be willing to give up almost any aspect of my life to live like that except the medical care we have available to us in this country. Otherwise, even though I'd miss my FR fix, I could be happy that way.

I visited that area a couple of yrs. ago. They're very hard working and industrious and have a phone booth in the middle of nowhere with a phone that dials out. And when a call is made, the caller has to log it a book so they can be billed properly. Mostly everyone is named Yoder or Miller.

Every time I visit Ohio I make sure to spend at least a couple of days in Amish country. No finer people anywhere. I have often thought of giving up my life behind the keyboard and moving there... though I'd have a hard time making a living if I had to be busting my hump every day like a young man.

And their teens like fine horses the way ours like fine cars. I never saw such finer looking horses than in Amish country.

You'll never see an Amish boy with a nipple ring. That's why I love them.

Every time I go into a public place I see navels - almost all of them pierced. The young girls look real cute with a shirt so tight that you can see their organs working and pants so low that you can see daylight over the top of them. It really shows off those pudgy bellies. They look like a busted open can of biscuits.
Viva la long black dresses and bonnets!
