Kudos to you for your intellectual integrity. And yes, I have read most everything Chris Hitchens has written about the Iraq effort and he too is deserving of praise for his integrity. Thank you for standing firm against the barrage of lies and demagoguery coming from so many on the left.
Please don't take it personally my comment about "the left" denying that there ever were WMD. Clearly however you are in a distinct minority now among the liberal, left-leaning movement of those who will admit we were right to do what we did in Iraq and that we're wrong not to be asking what became of WMD.
I would refer you to yesterday's Wall Street Journal piece by the way written by Senator Joe Lieberman who is another Democrat with integrity and guts on the war effort. He cited the tremendous progress we're making in Iraq and his deep concerns that the divisions here at home are making it difficult on our troops.
Anyway, thanks again for your patriotism and honesty. Very refreshing.
