Code Pink Retreats from Walter Reed-Freepers Win! (Week 40 Report at #1352)

I just received a phone call from Kristinn!!

The DC Chapter of Protest Warriors obtained a permit for Code Pink’s side of the street today after the Pinko’s forgot to renew their permit. The blood dancers tried to stick it out for about 20-25 minutes before they tucked tail and retreated a block away to the closed entrance. Freepers and Protest Warriors now have all four corners outside the main entrance to WRAMC!

But next week will be the showdown.

Next week indeed... we have FOUR corners to fill! I already rearranged my schedule to assure I can be there.

BTW, great job!

"a few soldiers spoke with us, and a gentleman riding a motorcycle and wearing a Rolling Thunder emblem on the back of his jacket gave us a thumbs-up after reading our signs."

Tsk, tsk, "Weaselle"! Such flat out LIES...or are they mere figments of your severely tortured imagination? BTW, chain smoking while wearing multiple nicotine patches can be hazardous to your health!

What a night to remember! You should have heard the honks and seen all the waves...from WR traffic, passing cars, cabs, buses, delivery vans, trucks...it was just amazing! One cabbie even blasted a bit of 'Stars and Stripes Forever' as we were winding down - a fitting close to this memorable evening.

Concrete 'What's my name, who's your daddy?' Bob was the HERO, totally punking and pwning the Pinkos! He rightfully earned the honor of planting the marine and U.S. flags and Protest Warrior banners, turning previously pink corners to glorious red, white and blue!

A gentlemen was walking down the street and stopped at our corner with a sly smile on his face. Nodding to the 'corner under new management', he said 'Something's different. Things are looking really good around here'. I said, 'Yeah, we decided to do a little redecorating'. He chuckled and said, 'Well I like what you've done. It's a nice improvement!' Another gentleman pulled his minivan to the curb so his adorable little daughter could wave at us, putting her tiny palm to the window glass.

Beautiful clear, warm weather(for January) and no distasteful pinko gauntlet to run allowed quite a few of our recovering heroes and their SO's to come out and say 'hello'. What an honor! And Mr. Sparling is such a great guy - he gifted us with lovely cross necklaces thoughtfully sent to Joshua by a class of schoolchildren from Texas. He was the night's unofficial 'cheerleader' tirelessly visiting corner to corner all night long.

Meanwhile, the disgraced and discomposed Pinkos huddled miserably halfway down the street, as the lights from their gratuitous little 'vigil' candles quickly faded to nothing.

It was a soul-stirring moment when the WR bus came back from dinner. The driver swung into the entrance and stopped for quite a long time, turning on the inside light so we could cheer our beloved heroes and see their smiling faces. Chants of 'USA! USA! USA!' swelled as we exchanged hearty waves and thumbs-up with them. On the opposite side of the light a smaller WR transport van was also honking wildly, joining in for a heroes welcome.

It was tough to go to sleep, with a face cramped from smiling, LOL! But I look forward to the new chapter of this FReep, because it's not over yet.
The Pinkos may have scuttled halfway down the block but they are still there, and as long as they are, we will continue to counter their 'wolf in sheep's clothing' protest disguised as a "vigil". No soldier should ever have to be exposed to their disgusting treason! How many of our heroes came to WR as a result of the $600,000 Code Pink sent to the insurgents? How many of our heroes have been maimed or killed because Gael Murphy and Cindy Sheehan publicly proclaimed the 'right' of the insurgents to shoot at our troops? Commie-worshipping Pinkos give aid and comfort to the enemy, we will NEVER give them an unopposed moment. We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

A hat-tip to the unknown cabbie & J.P. Sousa, who provided my theme song for the night:

"Hurrah for the flag of the free.
May it wave as our standard forever
The gem of the land and the sea,
The banner of the RIGHT.
Let Pinkos remember the day
When FReepers with wiles did endeavor
Proclaimed as they marched to the fray,
That by their might and by their right
It waves forever."

I'm leaning toward that being of Portuguese origin. Possibly even Spanish.

That surname has something of a concentrated presence in the north-east United States, and a cursory internet search reveals an interesting thing that people with that last name sure seem to be tangled up with democrat/leftist/socialist stuff.

Maybe "yorra" translated means "leftist agitator".

I think Code Pink jumped the shark much earlier as evidenced by Gael Murphy's recent absences.

Well, you know, people get busy! They have so much to do! So, they let a permit lapse -- so? Maybe we should have been CIVIL about it and let them have "their" corner anyway!

NOT!

Your post at #538 is so very well stated.

Freepers had held down the corners for weeks on end. I finally joined the group last spring. When concretebob joined the group it was a pleasure to see his enthusiasm.

I hope everyone continues to applaud his actions...it is a great "knock-out" for Code Pink.

I hope that everyone also remembers the weeks of dilligent work to excite people and encourage their attendance. The efforts of many to supply photos and after action reports has been the glue to keep us all informed and committed. Sign makers, food suppliers, long distance drivers and just smiling faces are all to be honored today.

THANK YOU TO EVERY PARTICIPANT WHO HAS HELPED TO FUEL THIS EFFORT TO SUPPORT THE AMERICAN TROOPS!
